My older sister has special needs and physical disabilities, and this video means the world to me because I love her so much as well as all the disabled kids I've had the privilege to meet through her and people don't want to expect a lot from these kids. But they are so incredible and everyday they inspire me. The school district that I live in has recently started a basketball team for kids with disabilities, and it's worked a lot like the Coffee Cart! It's really brought the community together, and I've gotten to know my sister's teammates better too. I think more school systems should definitely work to implement things like my sister's basketball team and Coffee Cart. It brings people together and gives kids opportunities they won't get otherwise. Anyway, this video did make me tear up. So thank you, Soul Pancake.

I’m a paraeducator and one of the classes that I work in does a coffee cart. Two years after I started as a para I actually had something from the coffee cart. OMG! The lemon bars were simply divine, and a little hot chocolate goes a long way on those cold winter mornings in my neck of the woods. Making food for the coffee cart is so valuable because it’s something they can do that makes them feel like a part of the school! (And some teachers have come to us in the halls to buy some *real* coffee before we make it anywhere near their classes, and they are very grateful for it!)

I was in special education classes all my life, and I am planning to go to college to become a special education teacher because I know the struggles an individual can go through, being picked on, etc. My siblings (3 of them) are all in special education classes for different reasons. As a teacher I want my students to know that I am more than just a teacher, I am a friend, family, that they can come to me about anything, and so much more. I am not going to push them through the system, I am going to give them the education they deserve and help them obtain the confidence and skills they need to get them ready for the real world.

I, on the other hand, did because our special ed teacher had her students do things like a bake sale or paper bracelets or something to keep them involved and some of them did clubs. Sadie...you are a blessing to man/womankind and the kids are angels, very fortunate relationships, going both ways. This really hit me hard.... If we could all do this, what a wonderful world it would be
