Rey Rod thanks watching and thanks for a sub! Whatever gets you on the water is the right choice in my opinion! The microskiff options like the solo skiff are super cool and definitely expand your range over a kayak. With the kayak I like that it’s easy to sneak up on fish, don’t need gas, don’t have to do maintenance on the engine, and don’t have to use a trailer. But I could see getting myself a microskiff someday.

Dude...I was thinking the same thing. One day I’ll hook up on one of those beauts! Need to fish South Bay more and check out SML!

Thanks for watching! It was a really cool spot! Ya it was a long trip. I ended up doing like 15 miles that day. They are awesome kayaks for sure and it does extend your range! I did have to use my paddle quite a bit that day cause it got pretty skinny in certain areas!

How far south of PMF?

South Padre Island near the convention center is a great spot! Relatively shallow, grass flats, and you don’t have to paddle very much to get on the fish!

@@MesquiteOutdoors sounds good bro thanks. Is it ok to leave the vehicle there for a while. Mine is just a regular kayak. Hopefully if I like it I'll be able to get me one similar to yours. Thanks for the help

Ya as you drive into that big area just north of the convention center (not sure what it’s called) take a right and pretty much go all the way till the fence/end of property then take a left and hug that fence/end of the property. I try to park on the grass and a little further from the water especially if you think the tide is gonna come up better safe than sorry. Better to drag the kayak a little farther than get your vehicle stuck. But you’ll see the road marked pretty well and you’ll probably see others parked. Never had any problems. Perfect place to take the kayak out for the first time

Hey thanks for watching! Nice how did y’all do? I came across birds on that day as I was coming back! I’m editing a short video with the last portion of the day

Two man limits of trout. I’ve come to find that money AM lure on a sunny day works great for trout. We followed the birds for about a solid hour caught about 30 trout in that time. Still looking for the elusive reds lol. I peddled about 10 miles that day but no reds.

2 limits nice! Gotta love the bird action!Definitely catch more trout in Port Mansfield but the reds are out there! Sometimes under the birds actually
