When can Dixie Alley (Northwest Alabama and Northeast Mississippi) expect severe weather? The specific area is the one hit in 2011. We don’t want tornadoes but need to be prepared.

Hey I really appreciate your forecasts and thank you for keeping us on top of the storms. I have a suggestion…right at the end of your stream you’ll often say “don’t forget to like and subscribe” but your stream goes off before I can like it. I know I should remember to like it from the start but usually I’m just trying to find out what’s going on with our weather. If you could remind us to like your content about 8-10 seconds before you close…maybe after saying “remember to like, etc” you could say something about when you’ll be back on, or wish us smooth sailing…idk but something to give us a few seconds to click “Like”. I think you’ll get even more likes by doing this, because you deserve all the likes you can get! 👍

I think it's already passed us in Iowa, it was a very fast moving storm. Had around 40 mph winds for only about a half hour. Now it's clear blue skies again. Although this weekend looks like it's gonna be rough!

Hey Max! My boyfriend and I started watching you when we were freaking out over the tornado that hit our town for the first time in I believe over a decade, we appreciate your updates very much it's much easier to handle when you're being constantly told what could potentially happen. Whenever I watch your streams you always talk about how mobile homes are the most dangerous place to be during a storm and I noticed between me and another person in your chat there are at least two of us who cannot physically leave our mobile homes under a tornado threat, I was wondering if you have any advice on the best way to handle a tornado warning when being physically incapable of leaving a mobile home especially with all these upcoming storms. Greatly appreciated from anybody else who might have any advice as well!!

Are you able to have a “safe room” installed? There is funding available in some states to help pay for it.

Mobile homes are unfortunately not safe structures if a tornado hits them directly -- no matter what. A storm shelter is the best protection. The following ideas can help with strong winds during a weak tornado that does not hit the mobile home directly. Where permanent homes are destroyed by a tornado from the roof down, mobile homes are destroyed from underneath as they are typically elevated and not anchored to the ground. "Pan anchoring" systems may help the home move sideways by digging into the ground and resisting movement. Wind Zone 3 homes can help if placed in a Zone 1 area. Install extra ground anchors in concrete and diagonal metal straps around the perimeter of the home. Hope this helps, and please be safe.

I'll look into that thank you! my main issue is that I physically cannot leave my home during a storm warning, even given hours in advance I have no where to go my town not only doesn't have a storm shelter but I'm also unable to drive and physically disabled

@@MaxVelocityWXHey Max sorry I didn’t mean to call you out like that. I thought it was possibly on my end because it wasn’t the entire video. It starts off good then the sync tapers off but usually goes back to sync’d up after some of your edits/cuts. Seemed to be more noticeable the longer the unedited clip was. Legit thought it was my WiFi acting retarded. I guess good to know that it wasn’t on my end and bonus possibly helped you identify an issue. Making these videos is a lot harder than some would think and is definitely not something I know I could do. I just didn’t want to give you the impression I was judging you or trying to call you out. There are some absolutely rude people out there that love to hurt people, say negative things, and see others suffer. The comment section is a tough place to look sometimes. You do an amazing job and appreciate everything you do. I just wanted you to know that was not my intent, if that is how it came off.

A lot of storm chasers will be out there in the Midwest gearing up for hopefully some good tornadoes butI don’t believe it’s going to be to Bad of a Storm system over the next few days and that’s always a good thing but I still tell anybody to always stay weather aware because you never know when thunderstorms could get a little cranky and out of hand at times
