I'm going to be honest with y'all, I'm not sure why so many people think this is "clickbait". I hardly ever use titles like this, but with a moderate risk tomorrow and a high likelihood for a widespread severe weather outbreak in the Lower Mississippi Valley, I think it is very important to get the word out about this event. Additionally, the red shows where severe weather is possible between now and Thursday, and the dark red is where the significant severe weather threat is. As always, I am open to feedback.

I think people just tend to assume the worst in others. I don't think criticism is completely invalid but you do what you need to do to keep people informed. If there was no urgency in the thumbnail or title people would skip it. Besides, your thumbnails and titles aren't much different from other forecast/livestream channels. Do what you feel is right, you've been keeping thousands of people weather-aware so something you're doing is working

I was caught off guard when a derecho hit my small town in June of 2023. I woke up to the tornado warning This channel has helped me be prepared for any severe weather in my area.

A derecho dropped south out of Ontario Canada on May 31 1985 and wreaked havoc in Northeast Ohio and Northeast Pennsylvania.

I'm not sure why everyone is calling Max total clickbait, when the SPC itself has issued a Moderate risk. Is the SPC engaging in clickbait too? Sometimes the Moderate risks don't end up being too bad. Sometimes a Slight risk spawns a dozen tornadoes in one area. Weather forecasting is only so good.

It's true that the SPC sometimes mess up. Some Enhanced risks (level 3/5) that are driven by 10% hatched tornado risks aren't that bad, for the reason that they don't issue hatched risks (strong tornadoes) for smaller risks. So sometimes we should have a 5% hatched instead of 10% hatched. I've heard they're gonna rework how they manage the hatched risks. Most times however, it's due to a conditional setup: If everything goes right you're gonna be in huge trouble, and if conditions don't meet up right, nothing severe will happen. Some people call the Moderate risk (level 4/5) issued on April 2nd a "bust" (Term to say massively underperforming setup) because it's true that strong to violent long track tornadoes were forecasted, the morning showers pushed all the instability south, which took time to recover, and couldn't recover as much as forecasted in time when storms initiated. Nonetheless, April 2nd sits at 50+ confirmed tornadoes, 15 of them rated EF2 (EF2 is in the strong category). Another thing is, even if conditions are right, sometimes a storm just won't do it. Mother nature does what she wants. Better have a way to recieve warnings and have a safe plan in case the worst case scenario happens, even on low tornado risk days. As for the case of people calling Max clickbait, it's not necessarily wrong nor right. Usually you have to use a certain wording to get people to be interested to watch your video and to get them to prepare for a certain event, because if the title doesn't suggest a severe event, people most likely won't care. On the case of tomorrow's event, it DOES look like it could be the strongest storm system of 2024 yet, because the certainty of a robust event are higher than usual. But there is always a chance it doesn't end up being as bad as forecasters thought. Although I'm not seeing much parameters that could make this one fail. So on this setup, I don't think it's clickbait. While I previously said "clickbait" titles usually makes more engagement and warns more people, it also causes trouble for population that have weather anxiety. I totally understand these people, it must be hard to live with it, and it also seems difficult for a KZfaqr to have the perfect wording to both get engagement to help people prepare and warn them AND to not scare people with weather anxiety.

People who have been trolling Max would be the first ones to come in here and blast him if he totally changed and didn’t report bad weather, and they ended up with tornadoes. I myself would much rather be told one may develop so I’m prepared, and it ends up being a bust. I’ve lived through 3 tornadoes with three young children and we weren’t warned. If someone has severe weather anxiety, don’t come in here then! I suggest going to counseling. That is why I will never start my own channel, so many people do not have filters anymore..they don’t care what they say. Everything is about them.

Hes not God he cant tell you exactly what will happen but he can give you information to give you a heads up and not only that when the storms do hit he covers the areas getting hit. This is a major problem, significant severe weather is likely in the southern plains, and a bunch of moisture is available, and dew points are in the 60’s, some areas getting closer to 70

I sincerely appreciate the timeliness of these reports. I'm in the Northeast (northern New York State) and we don't often get severe weather, but when we do, it usually comes riding up the Ohio Valley, so knowing what's happening in the rest of the country can affect what happens in my part of the country. Plus, well, we're all in this together, as the solar eclipse once again demonstrated yesterday!

I haven't seen any Max weather you might want to hold off on the expresso in the morning. I live close to the gulf and we get alot of rain this time of year it's normal. And yes we also get a few tornadoes but I don't live in fear of them. When the storm comes then I look at the radar and the warnings and make plans from there. The sky isn't falling.
