Honestly one of the best times to get into it. Right now you might run into more higher skill players and lose but at the same time you'll be forced to adapt and learn the game faster than if you just played in lower ranks. You can also get a good idea of what CS:GO is as a whole before CS2 comes out which will 1. Make you appreciate the massive upgrade more and 2. Prepare you to separate yourself, skill wise, from the mass influx of players on release.
