i appreciate the comment, but my account is 1 year old full f2p and with limited resources i have only invested into what i need. all of my characters are built to be reliable by themselves and not to rely on others, which is why i run ER weapons and upwards of 200% ER on burst reliant characters. i dont bother switching weapons just for showcasing teams. i also just dont even have other weapons for them. also yeah its hard to argue whether or not something is good in this game when there are so many factors. the truth is, it just depends on the content you are fighting, or what your standards are. this team is great on 2nd side of this abyss, but who knows maybe next abyss rotation it wont be good. this team was able to clear this abyss quite easily so i would consider it good, for this specific abyss at least. maybe my standards are lower than most. but for me personally, if it can get 9 stars with ease on chamber 12 then its a relatively good team. since im not a speedrunner, i dont care about clearing as fast as possible, i just care about if it clears in the first place.

@@noodleGI yeah, that's exactly why i said it's hard to comment on this game. so many different levels of investment (both time and money), priorities and even luck that it's hard to make apples to apples comparisons. I'm a welkins player with a few skips here and there (maybe skipped ~10 welkins so far total, and only bought two battle passes), but my account is from the second week of the game release, so it's pretty stacked by now. Anyway, this is a fun party regardless. Specially good when there are annoying pyro shields in the abyss.

@@GenshinYuppe well in your first comment you mentioned that its hard to say whats good in this game because of differing standards, you specifically mentioning the dps output of the team. there was no mention of investment levels. so as much as i wanna say youre shifting goalposts here, i will just leave it to rest for now because it seems like were on the same page ultimately. i do agree the team feels very comfortable to play. great defensive utility from xingqiu, great healing from jean/xianyun, no convoluted swirl setups and not mechanically intensive.

@@noodleGI i'm not shifting the goal post (WHAT goal post?), this team's dps isn't that great and i haven't shifted my instance, i just know that having a conversation about this game is hard because just about anything that isn't unmeasured praise will trigger people, so you know, walking on eggshells. Plus, I didn't mean specifically YOUR team, just this composition, so investment doesn't have much to do with it anyway. This comp is not THAT strong. But it's comfortable, fun and "plenty strong enough" to do abyss fine most of the time so knock yourself out using it. Ultimately, we do sort of agree so no pointing in arguing further.

@@GenshinYuppe all of the stuff you mention right now is true, yet what im trying to say is that none of it is said in your first comment. all you mentioned was that it was hard to determine what is considered "good" due to differing standards, then you go on to specifically mention dps. then after my reply you said that the exact reason why you said that its hard to comment on this game was because of investment levels, even though you never mentioned it in the first comment. this is why i said you "shifted goalposts," since you were now saying that investment level was the reason for making that comment, when again, it was never mentioned by you or implied. if you meant to imply that, then i would just say that it wasnt very clear to me, especially since you made it seem like the actual attributed reason in the first statement was dps. there was just a lot of missing context to that statement, so i most likely (and reasonably) interpreted it differently than to how you meant it. i only used what you wrote as context. sorry for the misunderstanding there. also you seem very knowledgeable to me so im sure you already know this, but i think its also important to mention that sheeted dps numbers alone dont really mean much without context. dps numbers that are theoretically possible are often quite far from what actually occurs, even when accounting for human errors. the strength of a team like this is that it can reach a relatively high dps floor without much effort from the user, similar to most hyperbloom teams. it doesnt rely on setups or reactions and has very minimal damage loss if you get interrupted. whereas if you play someone like hu tao and miss a vape or two, mess up swirl setup, mess up a jump or dash cancel, get interrupted, etc., her dps tanks really hard since her damage relies so heavily on those factors going in her favor.
