Also, I don't think MVC2's UI is appreciated enough. It's small, compact, and stylish, and leaves SO MUCH ROOM on the screen. I love it. Every other fighting game seems to be obsessed with big life bars that just cut off the top, like, 1/4th of the screen, and gauges on the bottom to take up another 1/5th.

The fact that there is still people playing the game online really puts a smile on my face.

I once saw a Ken, rouge, colossus team that absolutely wrecked house during evo. Everyone showed up with their sentinels/magnetos/ironmen, etc. and got destroyed. Rouge got super armor from kissing ironman or sentinel and Ken has dodge frames in his ground roll and shouru-reppa that makes sentinel damn near useless against him. Real spit.

I can understand the love for infinite's gameplay but, man, if they ever make a new MvC, they need to give it a roster like this one. I was looking at the gameplay and I'm just captivated by the magic that its in this game...but maybe that's just my nostalgia kicking in.

I loved playing as Jill in this game. I once stopped Juggernaut's Head Crush with a grounded zombie and parried Jin's Blodia Punch. Those were the two hyped moments of my fighting game life

Capcom still keeps the mvc2 servers running even though the game isn't available for purchase anymore? This really makes me respect Capcom so much because I can't see another game company like EA or Ubisoft doing this.

I'm playing Marvel Infinite right now, in the Training room searching for Ranked fights. It just popped up in the corner "Failed to join Lobby" and sometimes when searching for a fight it pops up with a connection error. The fight hasn't been matched and I never left the training room, but I lost half my rank because of a connection blip. I would not say MvC:I has great netcode. Twice in a row and I'm down a full rank, after being one fight away from the next.

The Ken/Jill/Gambit team is probably one of the, if not THE, teams in this game that just screams MAXIMILIAN DOOD lol.

Not only does MvC2 still function well online, it still looks fantastic graphically. Fighting games should stick to sprites so we aren’t cursed with more hideous titles like SFV and Infinite.

Came back here to say that I saw the Otoko Michi land, and I'm quite pleased.

Remember when I could do a combo with Spider man, guile & iron man that could kill almost any character from perfect, using only 1 bar. Hulk, colossus & sentinel where the only ones left with a silver of health. In ps3, repulsor blast, akuma/Ken tatsus between others attacks, where broken since they did tons of dmg in combos. My bro always sweat hard when I pick them.
