"Acceleration will get you up things, speed will slam you into things" Chris Birch during a clinic. This is good stuff Rich! If you break an obstacle down into 3rds, a majority of the work is being done in that first 3rd, ideally you're coasting through the last 3rd.

I know I'm late to the party, however, I wanted to take the time to say how much I appreciate these videos - I've learned so much from this, because Rich L. is a man that can forget more than most will ever know about their dirt bikes...That's why I now have TWO dance partners now(a 2t, and 4t), and I try to learn more about them every day...I'm attached to these bikes, and will not ever be letting them go! -Almost my only friends, and that's huge for a veteran who's been ate up with mental and physical health problems! My depression, PTSD, TBI, opiate addiction from injuries/prescribed meds, and immense grief would have got the best of me and ended my life if not for dirt bikes...So, I SINCERELY thank you! I will commit to buying MANY IRC products just because of how much you've invested in me and other riders -We are all very thankful, and will not be forgetting!

Rich, you taught me this technique in a group training last fall and it has changed my riding forever. I'd love to see an explanation on the channel of how to load the flywheel continuously for hill climbs. I have a video of you doing that on an insane hill with no run up to it. Thanks for the videos!

Student rider here. One of my motorcycle instructors told me "the problem is that you are trying to understand it. You should just FEEL it". Perfect example for when someone himself doesn't understand something while teaching it. Thank you very much for the clear explanation, it was perfectly understandable what is happening in the bike and why it would behave in a specific way. I'm checking your Essential Riding Tips playlist! And I'm hoping you would create videos for beginner riders in general, too.

This is great! I noticed my riding *sounded* different from other more advanced riders (they seemingly had higher rev blips while I was low rpm and bogged souding), and this is absolutely why. I've always had a natural fear over overusing the clutch, but I guess its there to be used.
