The thermals in the game already don't work through windows / optics. IDK about rocks, I guess if it was reasonable. Backpacks for sure are a lot brighter than they ought to be.

FLIR also struggles with fog and mist, as the colder ambient air reduces the clarity and range of the sight at distance. Also it's not that they struggle to see through glass, they can't at all. It's doesn't allow IR light to pass through. Unless it's a germanium lens. Which then barely allows visible light through. It's the black glass you see on large IR sensors like the Apache

@@bungbloopity it's a rare element that is transparent to infrared light and so they treat it with glass I believe to make a germanium lens. Not sure exactly how they're made but that's how I believe. But if I gremanium lens shattered is leaves behind a radioactive dust. Not very nice to breath in, plus glass dust on itself which I also would wanted to breath in

Not enough. Thermals don't work through glass or rain actually because those block the radiation from hitting the sensors.

Even better than that, get an Aggressor ak handguard. Tho you have to know, doing this will only amplify the thermal problem by allowing people to die and keep them. That's the exact reason why you can't fit thermals in your pouch on their own, and it's going to get fixed.

Tranquil Metalhead insurgency and eft are very different types of games. Insurgency Sandstorm is going to get night maps, you should try when it comes out.

If if insurgency did have thermal optics it would have been so much better than eft just because of the faster ttk.

@@_AVAM i absolutely love night maps, and absolutely hate Sandstorm. Original one is much much better. And I'd say, Ambush mode is quite close to EFT gameplay-wise, aside from micromanaging your inventory and skills.

@@packbackmusic horrible optimisation, simplified mechanics - like, there are no different kinds of ammo anymore, large but empty maps, no ambush mode (which was the pinnacle of tactical and thought-out experience in OG insurgency), and the worst is KILLCAM. In tactical shooter. Killcam...

1) It has a very steep learning curve, not easy to get into unless you like the game itself. 2) This game struggles to run stably on high-end PC's, consoles won't be able to run it and I don't think they plan to make it console friendly. 3) If it looks interesting to get into, sure, get it. But it is very different from your average FPS. I personally played FPS games like BF and COD, then Squad, and now Tarkov. 4) Yes, there is an offline mode. It is only useful for learning maps and maybe improving aim when you just start. Nothing you bring into offline or bring out is gained or lost, so it is just for practice.

Alex Ciuciu it’s a pretty hard learning curve, with all the maps and extracts and knowing the basics, but if you watch streamers or you tubers you can probably understand the basics. Its not perfect but it is very realistic compared to almost every other shooter out , which can be really fun or frustrating. I doubt it will come to console because of the amount of key binds, but I definitely think that the next gen consoles could run it. If you’ve only ever played Cod or battlefield it could be hard to get into because it’s not your regular shooter and this style of gameplay turns a lot of people off, but it’s my favorite. There are ai computer scavs that are in regular raids and they stay in certain areas and will want to kill the PMCs, there is an offline mode that allows you to go in like normal and kill scavs but there will be no other players and any loot you find or xp you gain will not count because it’s offline, and while it’s not super fun, using the online mode is a good way to learn the maps, extracts, and scav spawns. Sorry about not organizing this, but hopefully it helped, if not just ask for clarification

Erik thanks, I’ve heard that tarkov is a bit easier than other realistic shooters out there, so I would like to give it a try. Also, how difficult are the bots to play against?

@@f-35enjoyer59 In offline you can set the difficulty. In online, scavs are easy to kill but can still one tap you if you aren't careful. Scav raiders aka raiders are literal aimbot machines if you peek them for more than 1.0 second in the open.
