This game just gets better in every update. It now has classic muscle cars, classic race cars, modern muscle cars.... and what's the only thing missing? A modern hyper car with a race variant? Oh man I would love something like a Lamborghini hurican in this game with a GT3 variant. I hope you make a video on the new Civetta Bolide remaster too.

I'm hoping for a modern hybrid supercar from a country not represented in the game like the United Kingdom or Sweden. That alone would add 3 things not yet in the game.

@@TonyTonyChoppered I belive their main reason for not wanting to that is simply that they couldn't make enough variants. You know how nowdays they try to make a base model a sport model a sport+ model a rally model a demoderby model and a race model right? Which of these can you do with a lamborghini? Stock and race? But it looks like they are kind of changing that up with this new muscle car, and also in recent years I have been seeing more and more wierd stuff done to lamborghinis so maybe there is a chance. But TLDR its unlikely but I really want a high downforce light weight proper race car that can crash like the new bolide remaster. It would be awsome.

The Bastion is a Charger with a "Demon Version", but my favorite car is the Civetta Bolide, i love that Group 5 race car

Well the highest trim is closer to a Charger Hellcat Redeye. (Kinda obvious Redeye - Redtail)

@@moniker8391 no way that looks like a Holden, it’s too aggressive and shark-nosed to be one. Both the inside and power train suggest Charger, and so do the body lines. Otherwise the styling is pretty unique

The water part is also layerd in road marking stuff to make it slippery. We use that in norway when taking a drivers license. Probably in germany too.

You don’t need to do it to get a license. You can do a „Fahrsicherheitstraining“ where you can do that, but voluntarily

The improvements they are making with this sim are amazing. BeamNG and Reiza really care about their games. However this brutal pop-in kills the graphics for me. Hope this may be smoothed out in future.

@@keefetai584 Looks aside it's a Charger in every way from the Base model to the top end. Even the dash and gauges turn red like a Hellcat in Savage mode.

New remastered Bolide is insane as well. I took the group five version and then put the biggest engine and stage 3 turbos maxed out. Insane speed and surprisingly enough downforce to carry some speed through corners. Literally less than five minutes ago just got done hot lapping Spa in it, reaching 220 mph at times. Disgustingly fast and cool looking. Honestly enjoy the remaster more than the new car. Really wish they made a new V8 sound to go with the Bastion.

It could very well be that the „water handling“ is actually mimicking snow handling. I remember from a driving safety training that the surface which was under water then had the friction of a closed snow cover (-ish)

With the 4 doors, light bar in the back, and super long rear wheel hump, it's a pretty obvious analog of the Dodge Charger. Even the dash looks like a Dodge dash. Not to mention the massive hood scoop on the supercharged version that's an obvious Hellcat analogy.

The hood reminds me more of a mustang honestly since the scoop is so wide, and the rear quarter panels remind me more of a Camaro, but it's 100 percent mostly inspired by a charger. Also the front kinda looks like a Kia lmao.

I find you pretty much need to tune the understeering out of every config that comes stock with BeamNG, especially the Bluebuck/Barstow/Moonhawk types. The “Drift” configs of those almost feel normal.

You know that a few updates ago we saw a free roam character. All I'm currently waiting for is to see where they're planning to take that, for example realistic character in and out the car, pits, marshals, medics, even beggars as we have a mat and a fridge!

I walking modes all the way through the cave system of Utah and it’s crazy detailed. BeamNG is nothing if not thorough and Easter-eggy when it comes to their maps.

That water skidpad may be oil and water. That's what they use for the maneuvering test here in Sweden... they also use bald tires to make it really slippery like you're on ice. There is also a "moose" you have to brake and steer to avoid. It's 4 cones but mooses are one animal you DO want to swerve for (or get half a ton of meat and horns straight through the windshield)

The idea in looks and performance of the Bastion would give a clear idea that hey, it would be the iconic muscles cars we know in real life, namely the Dodge Charger. But in terms of looks, the Bastion oddly reminds me of a Polestar, the Polestar I, which is more of a sedan and casual road use than sporty muscle car.

On my opinion, beamng should REALLY get at least a kart, an open wheel and a gt3 inspired car, so modders could use them as a base to make other similar cars replicating real ones. To this day I haven't seen yet a good open wheel, a good gt3 and any kind of decent kart to download, and that is kinda sad for me But hey, what a bright future BMNG have! Really excited with these last two updates and the ones still to come, I love this game so F*ing much

Theres a gt3 mod of the newer etk (can't remember name) that's pretty decent. I don't know a lot about gt3 cars but you should be able to build a car pretty close to the regulations even without mods no? But I 💯% agree with you on the other parts. A cart and an open wheel car would really improve the car lineup and is something they is definitely missing.

Good video Ermin! Your presentation has notably improved in the last year, it's somehow more matter-of-fact yet still appropriately light-hearted. Can't quite put my finger on it. Anyhoo... I've been playing AMS 2 so much since I first bought it when v1.3 came out that I haven't even looked at BeamNG's updates. Gonna have to now. Good job the holidays are comin' :-D

I believe that they are planning 1.0 to be as accurate as it can possibly get, most likely making us wait about 5-10 years or so as they still need to figure out paint scratching, nail the sensation of sim-racing and think about planes and boats. Also they added a character a few months ago so I'm expecting that to become something amazing in the future, probably real person in the car with seat belts and everything, as well as possible hospitalization roleplay! We have everything for it except a proper character model. Would be lovely if they're planning to add real ECG and medical-based mechanics as well as racing marshals, team pits and such.

if you want a realistic rally car, the new update to beam also updates the bolide, adding a rally version which seems to be a mix of the stratos and 037

Its not really a mix between two rally cars, its a recreation of a rally car. During the 80's a privateer team asked ferrari for one of their cars to use on the rally stages, thus was created the 288 GTO rally car. After modest success they retired it but the legend lives on in games like art of rally and now in beam as well.

I'm so happy I bought beam this year, they continue to add more content and make visual updates. The PBR lighting makes the game look alot more realistic. If the devs continue like this by next Christmas alot of other sims should be nervous cause beam has the potential to do everything in one package.

On top of the Bruckell Bastion and more PBR terrain updates, BeamNG team also remastered the Civetta Bolide (the Italian drifty boi). This minor update is wild as heck.

Haha the Bastion kinda is a too much power not enough grip car. Around 400-500hp is what the platform can comfortably handle imo.

Try to drive with the chase cam instead of orbit, maybe its better with the wheel since its fixed. You can find it in the camera options, if its not activated.

“Classic American muscle cars only go in a straight line har har har”-Many classic muscle cars are several hundred pounds lighter than this thing and will surprise you with their maneuverability given a little suspension TLC. Especially on modern tires.

In all fairness, the only true muscle cars around now days would be like... the charger, and arguably the challenger? But yeah, that's really it, the stang and comaro are still more of pony cars, which have always been somewhat decent in the corners, especially the more high end stuff like the z28, gt350 etc. But with that being said, this looks to be more of a charger clone, which fits the 'muscle car' naming plate with it being a big powerful heavy sedan, and like in irl, not great in the corners.

You know what I want to see? BeamNG + Automation. Automation lets you make your own cars and then export them into beamNG drive for testing, and I want to see what it's like when you make your own car and then drive it.
