Your honesty and humble attitude are inspiring. I'm so tired of the resellers who claim to make $100,000 a year.

I started watching your channel recently and subscribed. I used to do Ebay, but stopped a few years ago,after my daughter died. But just over Christmas,I found someone on FB selling a lot of 6 vintage storybook records for $10. I decided to look them up,and saw that one, a Marvel golden age vinyl, was selling ( consistently) for over $200. The others were selling between $20 and $50. I felt like it was a sign to start listing again. Keep informing us! Thanks!

Would you ever take a mini screw driver or multi tool with you when thrifting? It’ll let you check for battery damage. I clean up corrosion with vinegar and rubbing alcohol and cue tips but it’s only worth it on some items andI also like saving stuff from the landfill. If you can check in store as taking them back for a refund is a hassle. I’ve seen one guy who takes a little pack with him with little screwdriver’s and batteries to check things which is next level.

You know whats crazy? I actually bought a leatherman for my keychain with a screwdriver for this exact reason, and you just reminded me it was on my keys lol

Vintage barware, beer advertising, tiki mugs, and the beer steins that sell the best (for me at least) are branded ones from Coors, Miller, and Budweiser. Budweiser products are like Coke or Harley branded items, there are collectors out there.

Savers prices are insane. I was there this weekend. Used crock pots priced at $25. any board games or puzzles that were still sealed priced at 10.

In Canada, Savers is called Value Village. They’re also overpriced, and even cost more than original retail from the dollar store. Unfortunately there’s so many resellers that they keep selling all their merchandise despite the prices.

Was just in Value Village today and I almost died when seeing the prices. 50-60$ for jackets 🤢 Bought a Puma Ferrari hoodie for $16.49 (Canadian) just because I didn’t want to leave empty handed

The savers by me had legos in baggies but selling em between 10 and 15 dollars and i counted at least 20 bags, be a easier profit to sell em in together, savers is a hit and miss but they are on the pricey side

That Santa vhs was made by the same studio that made Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. It was never released on DVD that's why it's worth so much.

Life and Adventures of Santa Claus is last Rankin Bass Claymation Christmas film made. It's based on the Frank L Baum book from Wizard of Oz author. A very unique re-telling of Santa's origins with Wind Demons and Wood Nymths and more cool Pagan like stuff.

Why don't you clean the battery port? It can be done with a Q-tip and vinegar.

I figured they would pull out all the gold, especially because they have so much individually priced in the case. I suppose you never know what could slip through the cracks.

How many Coleman Lanterns do you still have? Was it a good buy in the end and would you do it again?
@ThriftSchool
@ThriftSchool 8 ай бұрын
Great buy! 2 lanterns pretty much paid for the whole lot. I still have over 50 that I never listed. I probably doubled up on the investment and its been on the back burner lol. I got lucky and had 1 that sold for $1000. I had a bunch sell in the $1-200 range. The majority sell for around $50-80. I do free shipping on everything and they cost about $15-25 to ship each one. With my $12 buy cost on them. At most im in the hole $37-40 per unit. So In reality I like to sell them over $75 because with the ebay fees it cuts into the profits quite a bit. The ones I have left, Ive debated listing locally for $20-30 each and make some cash while other people can flip them online and double up if they want. Not sure yet.

You just making stuff up in your head? I never said I throw them out after cleaning them. I do clean a bunch of stuff, but sometimes its just too far gone. Games that have had exploded batteries in them for a decade are sometimes way to far gone to fix. I clean lots of corrosion out of the terminals, but ive come across more games than I can count that are rusted beyond repair and just wont work. Also if a game is only going to make me $10-15 profit and I have to clean terminals and test the unit, its just not worth the hassle/risk of it possibly not working, when I know I can make that money much quicker selling other items. If you watch my channel I probably buy 20-30 games monthly that need to be cleaned so I try not to overburdern myself with an unnecessary workload.
