This is the second time I watch this series, although not all of it...most of it, some surprises need to be kept. I started to play this and the game made no sense to me at all. For the longest time I didn't get what I needed to do. Combinations of potions, weapons, remembering what is what is a task in it self. Watching you changed that... a bit. So far you are the on;y one who does makes sense out of it to me as you do not show 'how to's and 'best sets or ''best builds' All goes way to fast and usually those guys are well equipped and rich enough or know how to get rich quick... I still go baby steps, learning how to fight, dodge, I also love the traps and how the enemy"flies" away. So thank you!

loving the commentary and story you got going here. I loved this game but mostly enjoyed the co-op of it. Sadly the ones i played with quit so i never got very far. Going to subscribe and keep up with this playthrough to see how the game goes in the further parts of the game. ^.^

@@TheOldManGamer I had a question. I always go one handed (preferably sword) and shield. I'm currently in Berg and my next quest is to go to the marsh. But I'd like a stronger sword or one handed better than my curved sword before I go to a new area. I haven't had luck finding anything cause I don't know this game well at all.

I think it was called the skycrown mace (a blue frost damage mace) . Hands down my favorite one handed weapon. Pretty sure it's in an enmerkar location.

What makes textures more "bumpy" is called : Normal map it's the texture that is responsible for micro surface details (fabric, noise, holes, small screws ...) - it is also responsible for making the mesh (3d model) look smoother where there's hard edges. It's a fun map and a powerfull one :D BTW, I just discovered your channel, and I love it (i'm also old xD )

This game is amazing. There's nothing else quite like it. It's got a hell of a learning curve though, so be prepared and don't give up. It's worth the struggle.

I bought the game just 2 days ago Wow. I didn’t realizing getting a tribal favor would have been that easy, I paid off the blood price manually. By finding and selling an alchemy kit and a bunch of predator bones.

There's a bug that if you go through the cave first, it can cause enemies to not spawn. I don't know if this fixes itself after or season or something or if it's just borked forever. It's a DE bug and started at release. It doesn't look like they've managed to figure it out, I was able to replicate it again yesterday. You can avoid it by just going through the gate first, turning around and re-entering the town, then going through the cave.

I think for the hardcore mode there is a 1/5 chance to die instead of a defeat scenario.

Have you defeated the gold lich boss yet? And do you know how? I have the frozen chakram and the sword with ice element/ physical dmg (forgot the name ngl) ive watched videos on how to defeat it but they’re all outdated and i heard he was buffed

Ay you can still cheese the windego at the bandit camp you have to open the gate let him see you then close it again and your able to hit him through the gate door still

Odd that you had such a hard time finding enemies. I always have so many in a new game, in all the locations you were looking, lol. I wonder why your world was so empty? I know I'm a year late, but I look forward to the rest of your playthrough.

So I just got the definitive edition from Steam for $7.99. It says it includes the DLC but I read a review that says it doesn't. Do you know if it does or not? Also how do you take on the bandit camps? I've gotten a fang sword and shield, travelers armor and still they just overwhelm me. I'm not complaining just wondering how you're supposed to do it. I've already died several times but I'm still enjoying the game.

DE "includes the DLC content" within the game itself but doesn't give you the DLC like it would normally show in steam. Its just in the game. Pretty confusing, but that's how they did so I understand. So if you got the DE you have everything. For the camps/fights, your best bet if your having trouble is to watch guides/letsplays and see how others handle it. The game has a somewhat steep learning curve and prides itself on "many ways" to tackle any given problem so there isn't really a prescribed method. (I used traps and an axe in this playthrough for most things) Just keep at it till you find a strategy mainly.

ah ok, and the dev's noted they distribute DLC content more thoroughly now, explains why I hadn't seen it in the original version.

@@TheOldManGamer yeah and the green smoke is corruption brought over from the soro dlc as well. It causes corruption build up that makes you weaker to lightning, you get hungry faster and if enough corruption builds up it blows up your character doing huge damage you can survive but most likely wont. Purifying potions counter this and those have been added across merchants now instead of just soroborean dlc

Just a heads up. Performance is not good on consoles currently screen tearing!, strange lighting, graphic late loading/rendering, fps drops here and there it all drives me crazy. I'm playing the old version until this is resolved. (Xbox series x)

Where did you get that backbapc? 16:58? you had primitive satchel and all of he sudden you got backpack 2 sec later but you didn't show how to get it and stupid guart won't let me leave the village because he says I need backapack and weapon( i have dagger and machete does he not consider them as weapons?) anyway where is that backpack?

Shopkeeper Doran sells them. (you can see him at 37:56) I think they're like 25 silver. There is enough junk around town to sell so that you should be able to buy one.

developers ruined the game, there is walking, walking, walking no challenge anymore, you can simply reach to moonsoon without any enemyes, not a dino lonyl a single bandit
