Thanks for your videos, I was crying one night and was able to soothe myself by listening to you. I'm tired and angry about OCD. I'm tired of the worrying. I can't even settle on a job because I fear I'm going to experience more workplace bullying. I'm tired of fearing if my family is ok, and the fear of God. I was relatively happy but I fell down in life and ocd, anxiety, and depression are getting to me. I can't even lay my head on a pillow and sleep due to the crazy dreams. I feel like I need a babysitter constantly now. I don't want to deal with all this.

I feel ya bud. I am 21 and back in April, OCD caused me to have the same issue. Depression, anxiety, and chronic worrying caused me to almost be house ridden, but toughened myself to move forward. It all sounds crazy, but you can get through this, man.

@@rickitysplitz7035 Thank you. I'm glad you were able to make progress. I'm trying to regain my strength but it is difficult. 1 step forward and 2 steps back. This may sound selfish but I just want my freedom to do what makes me happy in life. My mind cannot deal with all the tragedies in the world. So what if I just want to work in retail or whatever for the rest of my life. I just want to live in peace in a small town surrounded by nature. Is that too much to ask. I know I'm reaching out for help and it seems hypocritical because I don't want to counsel people. I hope God is OK with that.

@@JesusChristISLord12Hey man. I hope you recover from ocd soon but the thing is you gotta be selfish , ignorant and uncertain if you wanna beat ocd. At first you will feel guilty but thats the trap, don't fall into it, just believe that you are not a bad person even if your brain says you are. Just respond to this thought differently or just agree with it.

I've actually been doing this. Ever since my worst time with OCD I was forced to deal with it and tried to comprimise a 100% I am and going to be uncertain about many things, even if I really care about those things. So I've been able to function pretty well for a while now but uncertainty and feeling fear has become kind of a lifestyle at this point, I don't mean that in any negative way, in fact, I think I'm slowly inching towards being a happier person because just now I'm dealing with stuff I've been afraid of my whole life like socializing or just going out in general, trying other kinds of clothes even lol, so many little things really make the difference. Anxiety isn't necessarily a bad thing to feel, most of the time we just label it "bad" but it's just a feeling, if you think like this feeling anxiety may just feel like breathing, these experiences are the product of actively living.

I watched your videos a while back. I have been trying to deal with OCD for years and with covert compulsions. Most of the compulsions were way too tricky to find out. Like there was one of your videos in which you say to delay the compulsions. And after many months i realized that it became a compulsion for me. Whenever i had any anxiety i kept repeating this in my brain delay delay delay.......... like non stop. So repeating delay in my head became a compulsion. I put all my faith in this because most of the other stuff i was doing was not working. I really was disappointed when it didnt work.

Hi, another good one! Could I ask, 'How long it takes to do a video? Is it only you that produces and edits them? Can you do a video on fear of the moment of death and looking back at that moment, or fear of dreaming every night. (which I do... every night)' If the answer is 'yes' to the first two questions - 'do you still have a wife and family!' - only joking for the last one - where do you find the time. Thanks, Mark

It's still OCD which try convice you that your is SPECIAL, but it isn't. This thoughts, situations it's game of OCD. It can change a topics, places, things when you feel anxious but its still the same. Topic and situations its not important. If you have OCD for a long time try to see that how many times it change. One topic can be harder to beat but its possible, its very hard, but you can do it. Try to live normally and when you get anxiety, thoughts try to not do any compulsion or ruminate about situations. Good Luck!!

How can you differentiate OCD from real life ? I find myself in situations where I feel like I need to confirm if something happened or if there is a threat , I don’t do the compulsion but then I drive myself crazy thinking I should of checked in case what had happened is real or is it was a threat. For context I suffer from relationship OCD.

Hello Doctor, I would like to ask you. For a while, I was unable to resist excessive thinking, and when I learned that overthinking is harmful to the brain, the next day I tried not to deal with these thoughts, but I was accompanied by an unprecedented headache. I don’t know. Perhaps the headache had come to me and I had not realized it before. Then, when I immerse myself in excessive negative thinking, of course, I get headaches, and I don’t realize that after I learned that it was harmful, I started getting headaches, and now I can control my thoughts and not swim in negative thinking. When an annoying thought comes by, my brain cancels it, but the headache stays with it, and now anything is annoying. It gives me headache

Hi, I just want to let you know that I’m also feeling this way. I also have religious OCD and I’m trying to cope with the distressing thoughts that I have daily regarding some religious topics that I’m fussing and obsessed with. I don’t know how I can be certain that I’m right with God and I’m not sure how I can convince myself that I’m not doing the wrong thing or turning away from God. One thing that I know for sure is that worrying and problem-solving in my head only end up producing more anxiety and unfruitfulness. My advice is to just try go against what you think is right and adjust accordingly if you realise that what you’re doing is wrong. Try to live freely. You can check out a guy on youtube called Mark DeJesus. He is a Christian pastor that makes lots of videos about religious scrupulosity. Hope that helps❤
