Like they have already said it is plastic framed but it's extremely sturdy and thick. Should hold up really well I think.

Yeah, metal would be heavier and bend/stay bent. Plastic is a much better choice.

Super happy for you that Traxxas got you one to show us. I like your videos for your optimism and demeanour and the fact that you live (and play) somewhere that has a winter like I do. While it is fair to say that this truck will never be an option for me due to cost I loved watching this video.

At least you got a name brand. We didn't. 😕. That said, I've spent more than the price of an scx 10 on upgrades and tooling! It's ridiculous, but deliberately to learn about the workings. No regrets here.
