Lola, a Lagotto Romagnolo trained to sniff out and dig up black truffles in her native Washington, is ready for a challenge: to find truffles out of season on a hot day where their distinctive odor dissipates really quickly.

Looked to be about an ounce in weight, so depending upon how much the restaurant owner was prepared to pay, probably between $70 to $120, but that's merely speculation of course.

Considering they explicitly mentioned it was private, I would assume either she knows the owner or the restaurant owner also owns that patch of forest

You can’t harvest stuff from National Park land so it must be private land and I’m absolutely positive she has permission to be there and with a camera crew no less.
