I've visited St Ives, but the best beach in Cornwall has got to be kyance cove near the lizard peninsula. Absolutely amazing beach.

Let them go spend thousands else where. I’m Cornish. I live nr Mousehole. We are all fed up of holiday makers. The majority are rude up their own arses, take all the village parking spaces, they litter, they arrive sometimes 12/1/ 2am banging car doors waking people us up. Sit in the gardens till all hrs with no regard for locals who have to get up for work, leave security lights on all night and are just generally a pain in the backside. Please go abroad next year.

Hayle... "Three miles of golden sand". I used to live in Hayle, & was a lifeguard there for around five years. A stunning, but very dangerous beach because of the river & sand bar!

It is a trek getting to St. Ives, that is for sure! It’s beautiful here, though, and on the journey out. Yes, Scotland is a fantastic place! Are there beaches there you’d recommend visiting?

Cornwall is part of England, and don't give me that cornish language rubbish either, cornish was a native British language, spoken in Devonshire too as far as Exeter at least, but died out a couple of hundred years ago. Just because it just about survived in Cornwall, doesn't mean it was exclusive to that part of England.

@@edmann2433 and you don't seem to know historic facts , unless you are talking pre history , before Alfred the great created England, the southwest was part of wessex before the Romans Cornwall was Cerniw and what is now Devon was Dumnonia which included most of what is now Somerset and parts or Dorset, who's ignorant now then ? Don't forget the 1479 rebellion, Loosers ! 🤣😂🤣 Also my grandfather was at Dunkirk with the Duke of Cornwalls Light Infantry , an English regiment.

It doesn't & that is an immutable fact. I live in Cornwall, but went to Uni in Devon, & spent all my holidays in North Devon with my grandparents. I know both counties very well I.e. I know what I'm talking about!

It's down to personal preference but Devon has better ones , you need to look for them properly. If it wasn't for the tourist industry exaggerating cornish beaches, the place would be the underpants of England.

It's strange how the tourist industry keeps "exaggerating" Cornish beaches, & yet the tourists keep coming back year after year. It's not my fault that when they get to Devon they don't bother stopping, but just keep driving through it....why is that? The tourist industry doesn't have a vendetta against Devon, but it is an IMMUTABLE fact whether you like it or not, that Cornwall has better beaches, spectacular scenery, & a lot more besides for visitors to do. I'd be very happy for Devon to take some of our visitors. They're a pain in the arse making it difficult for locals to get from A to B, & simply get on with normal life. Cornwall will never be the underpants of England, because by the time visitors get here, they've already just past through them.

@@jo.s7993 look this is for the most part subjective, Devon scenery is way better than Cornwall, 2 national parks, 2 coast lines, way more trees, beautiful hidden villages, prehistoric remains , thatched cottages etc. I agree about tourists, they are a damn pain hence signs on the A30 and A38 telling them not to stop but keep going west.

According to the census Cornwall is in England. Go figure
