I'm so sick of digital media getting stolen or even disappearing nowadays physical media like DVDS or old video tapes like the ones shown in this vid is a perfect example of a time back when things were easier man how I wish I could go back sometimes...

What I found interesting is you seem to have a 'channel 1 there'. We in the US don't have that, they stopped it way early in US television, and I forget why. I also find it interesting you like the smell of old electronics. I do as well, nothing like the old smell when I buy new 'old' telephones, or related equipment, especially something from the 1930s & 40s. Electronics was wired with cloth covered wiring and they have a particular stale and mucky aroma...

I know for VHS cassetes!!!1994 I have big experience!!!I converted all my videocassetes in DVD and via DVD discs nowadays I convert them in USB

When I was a kid, I said they should make an air freshener called Inside the VCR. I also have a similar problem you had with your volume button doing the wrong function, but with my sony boom box. I never considered it being a dirty board. Still works perfectly fine though.

I think this is a common problem with older Sony devices. When I press the play button on the VCR, the rewind function turns on 😂 (sometimes)

The film on the VHS videocassette you are watching has got Dutch subtitles. And the TV you are using has an internal videorecorder too. Can you use that device too?

This is not a VCR. VCR means Video Casette RECORDER. This is a VCP - Video Cassette Player only. A very basic mono unit. Cheap scrap. Buy a good Panasonic VCR with a G Tech mechanism, no SuperDrive. Thats fine.
