A lyrical connection that I don’t see mentioned much: The Apparition: “I wake up to a suicide frenzy” Say that you Will: “You’ve got me up in a frenzy again” After I discovered that connection, the ending of this song hits so much deeper to me. The “frenzy” is suicidal thoughts, and the breakdown at the end with him repeating that line puts this right up there with High Water’s breakdown

AYRO and Dark Signs connect aswell. i saw someone say Dark Signs was about Vessel and Are You Really Okay was about Vessel's mom seeing him go through everything and my heart shattered into billions of pieces. "When I was raised, there was no street lights"-DS "I raised you in the dark"-AYRO. "The scars i didnt ask for"-DS "U woke me up one night dripping crimson on the carpet, I saw it in you eyes, Cutting deeper than the scars could run, And dont u know i could see it in u even now, and dont u know i want to help u but i dont know how" "Please dont hurt yourself again" -AYRO. If you look at Sleep Token under the microscope of mental health and suicidal thoughts or struggles its really where they are most powerful. We can talk about the relationship aspect of the songs all we want but that underlying tone is what is the connection to everyone who struggles. I lost a 12 year old stepson to suicide. It changed our lives forever in a way, even in a way I cannot express. That's why ST resonates for me. I do not worship what they worship...it does not matter to me, but i believe in what i believe and i believe they are one of the best bands i have ever heard.

I'm sorry for your loss... and I also understand what you are saying about tone and lyrics. I (Eric) definitely feel that, and it's hard for me not to get extremely emotional when hearing almost any song. It took me a minute to realize that that is probably why it hits me so hard.

@Rykerroad I had two conversations this weekend with people who have lost someone close to them from suicide and hearing their stories makes you really reflect on how we treat each other. That's why I like your channel I and how y'all interact with the music and the lyrics. It's also why I'm a big Kid Cudi fan. Music has always been one of my therapies. Once again, beautifully devastating/devastatingly beautiful lyrics. It doesn't only make you want to give whoever hurt Vessel a very stern talking to and make them regret the error of their ways for the rest of their life, but to also punch their lights out and make them hurt physically as well as emotionally. Then you want to go and hug all his pieces back together hard enough so they won't ever come apart again. I find myself shocked at the intensity of my feelings that are brought up by Sleep Token's songs. Vessel is such a wonderful lyricist.

I knew you guys would love this one, I love the melodic sound in the first part of the song and to me when the guitar comes in low and heavy sounding, I feel like that is a representation of his frustration and it sounds so damn good when the guitar comes in low like that. One of my favorite songs.

This was the dopamine hit I needed today after a very rough week. This song was one of the last one that was new to me for sleep token. There's something very raw about this song, in a way that I think everyone knows. Everyone has had that kind of harmful or toxic relationship with someone.

Even if TMBTE is already preferred, going through the earlier work will improve the experience a lot, particularly with the call backs. I’m really glad you’re taking the time to do this, even though it’s a rough ride at times emotionally. Some of the more recent songs will start to hit differently.
