Holy SBinnala, the way I found to beat the AI is to look after the tyres real easy at the start of a stint, stay blue with higher pushing fuel loads, you will eventually gain ground after a few laps with patience because the AI strat is to cook their tyres. I had Norris with 100 Smoothness, 100 Cornering and 100 Braking and all I had to do was let him chill for a few laps then run away at the end, with something like a 25% tyre wear advantage vs the AI on each stint. Careful not to get undercut though, there's a sweet spot. Also you can sacrifice your #2 driver if they're out of the points by pitting for wets and going full send until they die (takes 3-6 laps depending on track/conditions), when they puncture it will trigger a SC most of the time, use it strategically to totally not replicate Crashgate 😉🤣

Currently playing on hard and in the 2nd season with merc and fighting for the championships 1 point behind redbull after 2 races just got a 1-2. A quick tip to develop the car better, when designing a underfloor for example u will want to do one without putting hours in and use the intense option then once thats done then u do the underfloor again this time putting a big chunk or all the hours in (up to u depends if u want to upgrade something else at the same time or just get a huge upgrade on one thing). By doing it this way that upgrade will be far better than if u just keep putting hours into stuff at the base lvl without doing intense. Also an up side to this strategy is u will have to upgrade less and u get better results which saves u money so u can still do research after the last race so u dont fall behind going into the next season. TLDR 1 intense with no hours into full hours design. 😂
