Haise is kaneki when he lost to arima he lost his mind and identity because of brain damage and arima took him and tricked him to be someone else and you may ask why his hair is black and white is because when he feels human his hair turns black when he feels like a ghoul his hair turn white and he is debating whether he is a human or ghoul

So let's go through the whole entire anime. Season 1 is literally a LEGENDARY season. Probably the best season :> Season 2 is great too! (until you realize you have cried for 15 minutes from the end of season 2 and you realize it didn't happen at all) Season 3...ok who are these people....WHO IS THE CURLY HAIRED DUDE WE HAVE TO FOLLOW THAT IS IN CCG? (its kinda bad from the start, but once you progress through, it gets better when haise regains his memories) Overall Tokyo ghoul is a eh anime

I hate reading, however it managed to be entertaining as hell. I really recommend reading the manga, it's the first thing I've ever given a 10/10 to.

Yeah it kind of threw me off in S2 how we see so little of him and he's changed so much and he barely talks, I was hoping in S3, we'd pick up where S2 left off and maybe get more Kaneki. It's weird seeing him seemingly have no heart or personality in S2 but I kind of get it.

This is why the anime is so bad, if you read/follow the manga, it was quite a mystery till the reveal as to what happened to ken, was he killed and his kakuho implanted into haise that being why Ken appears to haise like rize did to Ken. Or if haise is actually Ken and just lost his memory due to the eye poke.... It's just another case of bad adaptation. This had so much potential...

Exactly. At the end of Root A Final credits we just see Kaneki on the floor and Arima standing over him, and that's it. the fact that they left out the fight where Kaneki actually ends up losing his memory is where they ended up confusing everyone.

Basically season 1 is fine Season 2 took continuity and threw it out the fucking window. (More below) 3 is complete garbage 4 is garbage The only part or season 2 that matched the manga perfectly was the fight with Amon. Kaneki still fights Shinohara (armor dude) but the events leading to it, events coming after it, and the location are entirely different. Also Juuzou fighting the twins suffers the same issues as the Shinohara fight. Basically if you like how badass shironeki (white haired Kaneki) is in √A, you will love shironeki in the manga, he has much more badass feats in the manga. Start at chapter 64, that's where the fight with Jason starts

KiTT instead of especially, do you mean only? Seems to me the only people who don’t like this anime are the people who read the manga first. Which I completely understand. It’s like the difference between me watching season 8 of GoT and being slightly disappointed, versus a book reader being fucking outraged since the beginning of season 6, which I had no complaints about. I’m just not gonna let one ruin it for the other. If I gotta pretend the anime is a parallel multiverse, like this is Marvel or some shit, then I will. D1 _Commentator season 2 was always off because I couldn’t stop asking myself why Kaneki joined Aogiri Tree. But I stopped asking why after a while. Within just the anime best I could rationalize was it having something to do with when he took a bite out of Jason. And RE just felt rushed, I wish they took a lot more time fleshing out the characters and the conflict. The fights could have been better, too. All of that aside, I still love Kaneki and Touka, and it was for them I kept watching. I’m about to get the mangas and I’m excited. This Saturday the box collection I ordered comes in, or should. And there’s a box collection of re coming out later this year, in fall, and I’m definitely picking that up too. Truth be, this will be my first manga I’ve ever read. I know it’s free online, but I prefer print when I’m reading.

Ok so to sum it up: Kaneki has lost his memory due to brain damage from the last fight in season 2, CCG exploits this to recruit him as an investigator with a new identity and with the progression of the story he slowly discovers who he truly is. In other words we are supposed to be confused at first and then clarified as we watch the show further, so as to put us, the audience, in the same position as Kaneki (character relatability). Hopefully this makes you more willing to continue watching the show.

My friend bought me the first 5 mangas for my birthday and after i read those 5 my parents said i couldn't get anymore because Christmas is right around the corner so i thought why not watch the show. So me and my best friend are over here binge watching the show and I'm so glad you made this video because I was hella confused and now slightly pissed but thank you none the less now i can't wait to get more mangas and actually see wth is going on 😁

I liked how mysterious the beginning of season 3 was because it made no sense like “who are these new characters” then you get to learn that it’s actually kaneki that lost his memory
