Thanks for explaining and demonstrating the Esquire circuit. I’m definitely going to wire one of my teles like that. And fabulous playing BTW. 💪

You're Father chose a fantastic guitar, you are right it has a little something extra which makes it a totally unique instrument. For a guitar player to choose a 1 pick-up over a 2 says that they hear a difference for the better in that 1st position.

I agree. The guitar is special. The one pickup and the different ways it is wired definitely gives it something a bit extra.

Super cool Video man, i got my hands on a 1968 esquire and since i have it its my main axe, i love the simplicity, the original PU had to be rewound but it really still has the old sound to it, trough my vibro champ that thing is a beast and as pure as it gets if i could only have a 59 esquire with a slab i could die in piece

Oh wow. That’s awesome! A good Esquire or Tele through a good amp is truly all you need sometimes. Thanks for watching!

The "dark" sound was Leo attempting to give an option to sound like a Bass, as the PBass wasn't invented until 2 years later. Try balancing the switch between front and middle and you can use the Capacitor AND the Tone Knob together.

Actually fender was not the first solid body guitar, and not the first to use 6 in line tuners Paul Bigsby built a solid body guitar for Merely Travis in 1948 Leo Fender went to see Merle he borrowed that guitar for a week, if you see the head stock you see where Leo got that idea

I think it was a Nocaster at some point no?
@cliftoncaskey5696Ай бұрын
A Nocaster was similar to the Broadcaster-it had two pickups.

It’s probably not true but the more I listen to Esquire’s the more they sound better than a regular Telecaster!🧠🤯🔫

Didn’t Gibson invent the truss rod?
@neoguitarconcepts202 жыл бұрын
Wow you’re right. I didn’t know that. All I knew was that the first esquires didn’t have truss rods so they had to put some in there on the next batch. But you’re right. An employee for Gibson applied for the first truss rod patent in 1921.

Sorry. It's not a matter of good or bad music. You like it or you don't.
@neoguitarconcepts20 Жыл бұрын
That’s fair. But for me it is more of a matter of good or bad. I may not care for a certain style of music but I can appreciate the musicianship behind it. The amount of time they put in to get good at their craft, etc. it doesn’t mean I have to like it but you can tell when someone is good at what they do. I don’t like many Gypsy Jazz or Bluegrass songs but many of those players are literally amazing. Whether you like it or not…they are good. That’s the viewpoint I take with it. But I respect your view too. Thanks for watching.
