I think the best thing we can do in the natural hair community is support other natural hair women who worked their way from the bottom and actually used their products on their own hair before selling it to others.

I don’t think there is any hair care line that can be totally effective to any hair type .. mixing and matching what works for your hair type is the way to go. I have yet to find any product to moisturize and combat braid out twist out frizz on my mostly gray hair. Any suggestions? Thanks for sharing your review. It is really helpful.

It's impossible for a product to work well on all hair types. Each hair type and even hair condition requires different things. That's like saying something is good for all skin types. My super dry skin disagrees. It's kinda lazy on their end.

Most reviews I've seen basically saying the same. The deep conditioner needs more slip for 4c hair.

I really love Fenty products but they do lack some inclusivity. Their foundation shades are mostly for people with warm/golden undertones….I have a neutral undertone so if I buy the foundation it makes me look orange no matter how close I get to my shade 😢 Also, their skincare line is definitely not acne prone skin friendly 💔

I saw a review today that mentioned that the product is marketed as repair product for all hair types ( I have not seen the product myself), meaning that it is a "protein" product and not a "moisturizing " product. Additionally the review stated that while the product is marketed for all hair types, Rihanna said it may not work for everybody's hair. It might work for some type 4s and not others 🤷🏾‍♀️

The styler results looked good for what it is. I think it's fair though considering that you probably already have products that "define & hold" your hair better than that so in your eyes this styler is a average product.

You can only speak for your hair and not all type 4 hair. I've seen other videos with 4 type hair and they gave it a good review. Amongst them were professional stylers that used the products on a variety of hair types.

Celebrities just put they name and sell it . Alot of times they don't use their own products. Usually RiRi come through with her products. But thank u for your review❤❤

It's crazy cause I seen firls with your hair type try and love and it worked for them beautifully they did wash and gos with the gel and cream styler, but I get not all hair is made the same. Love the honest review.

She stated that she would only use (probably purchase) 2 products again, not that she only "liked" 2. In her reviews of the other products, you would see why. E.g I remember that she said the conditioner not being as moisturising for her hair...etc.

There's definitely a lot of 4 type girls who make content they may not be as big as you. But it's appreciated nonetheless to put your thoughts out there towards a more comprehensive approach towards 4 type hair

I keep hearing that its not 4c friendly. I tried her makeup and broke out bad. I had to get a steroid shot in urgent care. It was bad. I gave it all away and they love it. She does an awesome job with packaging like you said.

Heavy on the “disappointed but not surprising.” It’s sad in 2024 celebs are still afraid to practice black exclusivity. There’s a zillion hair care lines that cater towards “all hair types” but little to none that cater towards JUST black hair. It’s annoying.

Texture and hair type are NOT the same thing. “4C friendly”is not a thing. The line was marketed as REPARATIVE for all HAIR TYPES. Meaning it is primarily for those with damaged hair. Most restorative products are not going to be moisturizing. No shade to the creator or any others but I really think we need to get away from accepting reviews from people who are not thoroughly educated on hair. Most of the people who make these videos are not licensed educated professionals and really are not qualified to offer criticisms. IMO I will say the creator has some beautiful curls and I love that for her.

Having your own products makes and rating the competition is interesting… I want to believe it’s unbiased. My question to you… after trying your different competitors…would you change or improve yours?

See now where Rihanna went wrong is she didn’t follow her blue print of when she released Fenty beauty. We all know by now that something that works for someone with type 3 hair is probably not going to do the same for someone with type 4 hair. Different porosities do exist and certain ingredients work better with certain hair types. What she should have done was released a basic/normal range and then also released something for people that have type 4 hair and are going to need the extra moisture and other things that the basic range isn’t going to give. If she had did this I reckon the reviews I’m seeing would have been A LOT better and then after she could include other variations for the people that both lines weren’t the perfect fit for. Hair isn’t beauty where you can keep the same formula as long as it works and just change the colour. Each product needs its own special formula and I feel like she underestimated this.

Ima just stick to fenty beauty. Everyone do what works for your hair. Ive tried high end stuff and sometimes the 3$ Aussie works good on natural hair!

Gentry is for everyone. So if pale faces are to use fenty hair then it can’t have what our hair as black women need. I don’t see how fenty hair can be for black women too. I didn’t like it. It is not nourishing for black hair. Well my black hair.
