I would just like to make an observation about Kevin. Since his return from surgery, his face looks at least 10 years younger than when he first started appearing in the videos regularly. As a person who lives with chronic back pain, I never cease to be amazed by how much pain can affect a person’s appearance. The level of pain which he was living with prior to the surgery must have been next level. And he probably didn’t even realize it until after he had the surgery. So God Bless to the surgeon who was able to correct Kevin’s medical condition as well as any other person who facilitated that surgery. So glad you’re on the road to recovery!

I found your channel accidentally only yesterday. I have absolutely nothing to do with cattle in my own life, apart from the odd milkshake and cheeseburger. However, I've really enjoyed learning about your work. I never knew how much care had to go into their feet. It makes me happy to see how dedicated your team is to the comfort of these animals. More impressively, your positivity and joy in life are contagious. Though I feel slightly queasy over some of your content, you make me feel like I'm in good hands, and I can tackle any of my own challenges with ease and success. Thanks so much for the motivation!

The fact that you and Jack are both pretty damn good trimmers means these cows will be maintained to an absurdly high standard. Both your routine visits and his interim maintenance will combine to make it impossible not to. This farm will probably have the lowest rate of lame cows in Scotland in a year.

Having had a whole load of abscesses, including, but certainly not limited to, one on the root of a tooth (unbeknownst to the dentist who was drilling into it to repair a cracked tooth. Despite a ton of local anaesthetic, it put me through the roof! Had to have strong antibiotics before I could go back!); a potentially lethal one on the top of my leg (in hospital for an op less than a week before taking the kids on holiday.); and almost as gruesome as the tooth one - which after me biting down hard "exploded" into my mouth 🤢- was one inside my eyelid. It was there for a few years! Eventually I was casually rubbing my eye when the right half of my eye turned a creamy colour... I get how painful or just how annoying the damned things are. Whenever I see one pop on this channel, I breathe a huge sigh of relief. The cow may still be a bit sore for a while, but that's exponentially better than having to put much of your weight on a "full" abscess. I'm sure they're given antibiotics afterwards to make sure that all the bacteria are gone, but it's that initial pop which makes all the difference!

My cat has an abscess from infection by her anal gland rn, and she did such a good job of carefully but consistently licking it that she actually drained it herself and immediately clearly got HUGE relief from that. I’m having to monitor its healing on vet orders and the sight makes me want to hurl because I’m seeing stuff that should be covered by skin, but coincidentally I came across these videos, which … make me feel queasy but less so, almost like practice? It’s not quite like her abscess, I’m pretty sure I can literally see either lower layers of skin or muscle there, but the mild gore and pus here delicately being cared for feels like it might help me acclimatize a little!

No shame in that at all, it's bound to happen every once in a while, but now that I've seen what a graze looks like, it is all the more obvious how different it looks than all the times that a cow's hoof is producing the red stuff on it's own. Graeme...when you crack up, you crack me up! Another great vid. Who knew a 65 year old widow living alone would need cow hoof trimming vids to bring her alot to smile about!

I'm concerned about some of the farmers not providing water for trimming. It makes me wonder if the cows are getting enough water. 😢

I've been here since 10,000. Now nearing 2 million subs, all goes to prove, stick to what you know and are passionate about, and success will be yours. I mentioned this channel to friends and relations, most sniggered initially, ALL are now subscribed , and none are remotely from a farming background. Addiction is a strange creature 😉

Wow, I have not been on KZfaq for well over a year and my oh my, your channel has taken off getting over a million people to sub, well done you. I know you would have not thought your channel would take off the way it has. I remember that old crush you had and when you went to America to place an order for your crush it seems so long ago now. Well done I am so pleased for you and for showing the public just how much work goes into farm animals, they don't just live in a field they need lots of care like you going and taking such great care of their feet along with the stockman or women that do such a great job they know each animal and if they're off in some small way there on it fast.

Also, love it when you say Kev-boi or Greggy-boy because they're big bulky me who look like they'd me able to snap me in half by just glaring at me 😂😂😂

I love this work, he's so dedicated. I have a question for him. Since i work in Surgery sometimes in vascular Surgery. We see a lot of diabetic feet and damaged tissue. Since animals are different to treat but sometimes we can use the same meds for human and animals. We use to rinse the open holes or cavities with Peroxide and Braunol. It forms a foam and disinfects well. It might be a novice question, but do you have to open/expose/take off the hoof until you see the good tissue? Keep doing what you love😜

Had awful abscess on my tooth. Molar. Hurt so damn bad I could barely speak. I got tired of the pain. I lanced it myself. It was FOUL. Bad . Terrible. Everything nasty times 10. After I drained it I too a bunch of antibiotics and cleaned it with many dowses of plain ole lister one and it got better within 3 days. These cows are enduring 100x my pain. So yeah! I love this channel and I love what he does for them!

So I love your videos, I worked for a funeral home that dealt with my cities corners office, and saw so much death, and gruesome things it kinda scared me, but it also made me miss the gore, you have allowed me to see the gore, and it in a helpful way, you help these cows, and I feel since it’s not someone like me I can watch,it has help me break my issues, no more dreams of all the closed eyes.. all of the faces. All the crying families. The job broke me and this videos have help me back together.

I recall Diana Vreeland saying how much she loved Scotland- if only she didn't have to sleep there at night! (cold and dampness!) If you go there BE SURE TO BRING A HOT WATER BOTTLE! I went to Holland years ago, and I was SO THANKFUL to have brought a hot-water bottle, let me tell you! Damp, cold sheets are NO FUN to sleep on and take FOREVER to warm up!
