That amber carnival glass deviled egg plate sells for $95! All of those were carnival glass! What a find! Some Indiana Hobnail goes for more and some less. Depending on the market. Every piece you found had the iridescent glow! 😊

Now that you are dealing with so much jewelry you might want to get a metal and gem tester. You will be surprised how many things are gold or silver plated, and that the stones used in jewelry are more valuable than you think a lot of times . Also look up ANY piece that has a signature . There are bronze and brass and even plastic jewelry that is valuable because of signature or age of piece. Also keep your eyes open for vintage micro mosaic pieces. I hope I don’t sound like I’m being a know it all because everything I’ve mentioned I’ve literally learned in the last year and what a game changer. I had not been paying attention to anything that wasn’t gold or silver, or had a precious stone in it and I passed up so many things. I like you guys and I love how much you care about and mention your church so I just wanted to share the information in hopes to bless others the way I was blessed . congratulations on your finds. Thanks for sharing.

When you first opened the door and showed the various brands that stood out, I thought it was one of those staged units you hear the storage companies set up. But within minutes, you started finishing goodies!! Yay!! This is fun!

You can actually throw those fabric & leather Coach purses in the washing machine and air dry. I’ve done it many times, I just use a gentle or delicate cycle with no or very low spin cycle. The expression on your face with the urine whiff……priceless!

You both inspired me so much! I’m a stay at home mom with twin 3 year olds and because of your shows, I bid and WON my first storage unit! It was small and manageable and so much fun! "Love You to the Moon" so sweet Jules, I think you're a keeper! So happy for your finds, especially the Crucifix. You will probably get more for it as a piece of jewelry rather than just weight. Check for artist signature and Google a picture for more value info. The ER in the white velvet bag may be a diamond in white gold. Sometimes white gold is mistaken for sterling. That little oval magnet is a toy. They were sold in pairs and popular in the late 90's. It's always good to have a magnet and magnifying glass with you. So proud of you two, and your always thinking of sharing with the Church. Oh, the sale I mentioned at St. Frances in NMB is May 1-4, I believe. Double check dates and times. Doors will not be opened until prescribed times There is a jewelry room in, turn left, then right. I've never found anything valuable, but there is costume, some more reasonable that other. Then there's a big room down hall and right, but you may want to head on to the back yard. In fact, if you get a parking space in back, you can enter and start there. That may be where you find some things. It will be crowded! Cat

That egg dish is epic. My girlfriend is selling everything in her thrift store and it’s thousands of square feet into the rafters is probably 25 feet and she has a green one that has a handle in the middle that comes up. It’s so cool.

FYI I bought a ring for 50 cents. Markings were worn off. I took it to a shop it scratch tested 14k. I then took it to a jeweler for repair and a fancy machine they had that reads all the metal content and it was 9k. low K can fool you. Even after repair (cracked band) "That aint too shabby"

I would have liked to see the rest of the things in the blue tote. Once the jewelry was found that's all we got see. Jewelry is not my favorite. I do understand you can make good money on it. Chicago cutlery is a good knife. I got a chefs knife for my 25th birthday in 83 by my parents. Who owned a restaurant at the time, and my dad was a chef when I was a kid actually before I was even born.

That magnet at 19 minutes is what they call a sizzler. They come in sets of 2, you toss them in the air near each other and they make a weird sound as they come together, almost like bacon sizzling. my daughters had several sets in different shapes.

I know you weren’t prepared but I take a magnet with and I try jewelry. I know there’s other ways of testing jewelry that are probably better but that’s what I start with and then when it doesn’t stick, I put it in a pile and now I have to go to my jeweler and see if she’ll test it for me. My sister-in-law left and went back to her hometown five hours away and left a 4 foot or more full of jewelry. A lot of it was junk but a lot of it was good stuff that was just broken.

If I had a car, a girl, and a beard..plus an extra 766 dollars layin around people might get me and you confused.
