It's hard to not give it to Fawkes. Six on one, and still held their own. "The king knew that he'd have to hang me twice" is an absolutely dirty flex. Guy was tortured so, so bad, hung twice, castrated and he just WOULD NOT DIE. And he refused to rat out his conspirators even during that. And the ending is even better when you consider Fawkes didn't even let the executioner finish the job because he dove at the gallows to kill himself rather than wait for the door to trigger from the hangman. Hard to say he didn't win knowing that.

Always great to see more Freshy Kanal reactions! Basically all of his battles that have come out in the past ~2 years are super good, and even some of the older ones are superb. I think some of his best work (not necessarily in any ranked order) is: Doctor Strange vs Doctor Who, Yuri vs Toko Fukawa, Frodo Baggins vs Ancient Egyptians (the April Fools battle from last year), Edgar Wright vs Wes Anderson, Patrick Batman vs Sweeney Todd, Kokichi Oma vs The Riddler (my personal favorite), Power vs Nezuko, Paul Atreides vs Amleth, Jinx vs Junko Enoshima, and Nathan Drake vs Tintin (the most recent battle at the time of this comment). I also think that Nagito Komaeda vs Dream and Happy Appy vs Flowey are really good, but those *very* heavily rely on you knowing both the characters and the fandoms around them to an obsessive degree, even more so than a normal rap battle. Editing this comment about 2 weeks later, his newest battle, Don't Hug Me I'm Scared vs The Truman Show, definitely qualifies in that best of list.

I appreciate the shoutout man thanks. I have more recommendations like Mr Beast vs Squid Game, Homer Simpson vs Peter Griffin and Frodo Baggins vs Ancient Egyptians. The Frodo Baggins one is longer but so good and worth checking out for sure.
