Gosh im still not over the fact that they didn't make Ddaeng an official release 😭 But at the same time, I just have more respect for them because they chose not to officially release it and profit off of it, but instead, its made for their haters and people who looked down on BTS. I swear RM is a musical genius, so is Yoongi, his creative word play and references is immaculate and when he started stuttering in his verse, referencing when people made fun of him for stuttering or speaking unclearly 😭 Gotta love these guys. I mean they're known for being humble on the outside, but at the same time im glad they can subtly flex their worth and wealth in their songs. It's sneaky and creative. Talk your shit BTS!! 💜 Oh and BTS are a self-produced, and self-songwriting group. Each of the members, all have writing credits, but RM and Yoongi (Suga) have the most writing credits in BTS, and in also have one of the most writing credits in the entire kpop industry, same with producing. Most of their music needs an explanation bc their lyrics are more complex and deeper than they seem, and simply translating the subtitles won't do it any justice. Just keep that in mind when youre reading comments or getting recommended songs, bc like I said, MOST if not ALL of their music has double and deeper meaning then they portray

He's a genius in accomplishing things that are seen as out of his realm, and making smart career choices. He's also been super brave and unapologetic about his solo ventures. Hence why he is the member with the HIGHEST NET WORTH. You don't put Hobi in the corner...💜💜💜

LOL that's why i said you guys shouldn't focus on trying to understand some of their lyrics because some of them are really complex. You guys really has to be into the korean culture to catch the references, even so you mighty not be able to fully understand their meanings. That's no problem with that by the way, even ARMY don't get their meanings sometimes either. When you guys choose to react to some of BTS hip-hop just focus on their flow, then if you guys wanted to understand what they are really saying just do a search for some explanation later. Love 🥰🥰🥰

DDaeng is such a cool song, but about the explanation I have to disagree with the interpretation of the "frog in the well" I really don't think that RM was referring to the well being S. Korea, he loves his country(its showing it in different ways, in Bts and in his personal interests), I think he's talking about narrow minded people(nor small country), maybe in general those(artists, media, fans.. Of others..) whom critised them with small, ridiculous arguments, or specifically those rappers, so proud to be" underground " so they think they are the best in that small neesh(still narrow minded)

their album (proof) that u were talking about is actually their anthology album. it’s 3cds. first one is all of their title tracks (including the new one) + 1 song they never released on a streaming platform but performed live (born singer - they sampled born sinner by j cole. i recommend u watch it since it kinda fits the timeline of where u are in the rise of bangtan series). second cd has 2 songs chosen by each member (from their entire discography) + a new track. third cd are demos of songs that were never released or versions made by the members that didn’t make the final version on the albums + a new song. so technically that 35 (actually 48, only the first 2 cds are available for streaming) albums only has 3 new songs.

in case y’all wanna watch it, the rise of bangtan series also has a bonus content series in addition to their deleted scenes. the bonus content is more of the “fun” behind the scenes as opposed to the deleted scenes that actually added more to the story. i know they don’t come in until a few episodes in so this is more of a in the future suggestion :))

Not to play linguist but English does have words with numerous usages. I hate to choose something kind of crude, but it makes the point. shit=feces. to shit=to take a dump. shit=something crappy. your shit= your possessions. shit = Oh, my God! shit= You've got to be kidding. the shit= something great. for shit= worthless. shit on = put down. There are probably more, if I thought about it. Point is, if you want to rap in English ala Ddaeng it is doable.

When you think about it it makes more sense to have one word that means multiple things because it's all about context when you are speaking in conversation based on what comes before and after the word. What makes less sense is that in the English language their is 2,224 synonyms for the state of being drunk. (Guinness world record for most synonyms lol)

also i saw y’all mention the juice collab a few videos ago. it was actually a bit of a swap deal so there’s 2 songs out there. first one is all night in 2019 (an ost for bts world which is a game they released - so bts was the first release). only suga rm and juice are on the track. the second song is girl of my dreams in 2021 which only featured suga and was released on juice’s posthumous album. i forgot the name of the guy on juice’s team but he thought suga and his history of music/life experiences was a good fit for the song. suga was included in that official clip talking about the album released by juice’s team. i forgot what it was called so my bad lol

Ddaeng can be used in different ways just like the word Fuck for example What the fuck? Look at this fuck right here. You look good as fuck? I don't give a fuck I know ddaeng doesn't mean the same thing and are used in different ways I think it's just one of those things where you gotta know the language and culture and if it clicks then its like "if you know you know".
