This is my first time reacting to Pentatonix Perform Kiss From A Rose (Live) and I really hope you enjoy it!
This was some next level musicianship! I really enjoyed PTX rendition of Kiss from A rose & Kevin on that Cello did some things to me!! 🤯😱
I was gobsmacked by the end of this performance & could you blame me?

Almost 12 years ago a group of young singers wanted to perform on the Sing Off and neede a beat boxer. Failing to find one, they turned to KZfaq and found a video posted by Kevin. He was cello boxing, an art form he may have invented. The rest, as we say, is history.

Kevin takes an electric cello with them on tour. He can make it sound like an electric guitar. Kevin calls it "cello-boxing". Thank you for your energetic reaction and appreciation for their amazing arranging/singing talent. They have a new Christmas album out. The last 8 songs are new releases. I hope you can react to them. There is an original on that album called "Please Santa Please". Kirstie and Kevin were the main contributors to it. Will you react to it?

That is awesome! I love cello or violin so to see that in this song was just so amazing! I actually did the reaction to "Please Santa Please" when it first came out plus I watched the making of and I have no idea why I haven't edited and posted it yet. It was with old camera and setup. Should just upload it anyway. 😊

Kevin's traditional cello is named Beyonce. His electric cello is named Mr. Carter 😊 (his mother thought calling it JayZ was a little disrespectful) Mitch and Scott tag team!

You simply must check out Kevin’s Fifth. It’s an insane love performance. Kevin is so multifaceted. He has perfect pitch, is a master cellist, invented cello/boxing. Where he beatboxes whilst playing the cello. He is a genius

Kirstie - All right boys...voices and cello up, Mitch - LoOove remains - MiniMitchSlap Scott - Blue Eyed Soul Dragon Drive-by Matt - Renames song 'Falsetto from a Bass' Kevin - "Hold my bow".. "BaaaaBYY!!!!".... Note all of the members except Kevin just might have a greater connection with this song than they know....we would have to ask their parents. This was some serious baby making music in the 90s....

I love this from them! I grew up on classic rock ballads in the 90s (what my parents listened to) and that PTX is leaning in to that type of sound is making me SO excited!

Cracked me up! That's exactly the way that I reacted when I first saw the video. I'm addicted to the endorphins that Pentatonix' music gives me. Definitely a Pentaholic. Always looking for a new fix. Watching someone else get that same reaction is gratifying.

I am obsessed with their cover of this song! Yes, it does tend to get stuck in your head, especially when you listen to it repeatedly 😁. No words really to describe the epicness of this arrangement and how it showcases their talents. I’ve never wanted to pick a favorite PTX song because I love all of their songs, but I think this one is IT🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

I love when Kevin brings out his cello! That is how the 4 (Scott, Mitch, Kirstie and Avi) found him. On a viral KZfaq doing what he called “cello-boxing” from his dorms from Yale! Which he graduated pre-med from!! This is an awesome song!!

Pentatonix's 2023 Christmas album is a compilation, "Pentatonix - The Greatest Christmas Hits", with 23 previously-released tracks and 8 new songs. So far they have released only one new official video, for the only new original song, "Please Santa Please". The other 7 new songs are covers and so far only have audios on KZfaq, and now this VEVO live. The 8 new songs are: PTX original - “Please, Santa, Please” Darlene Love's "Christmas (Baby, Please Come Home)" Seal's "Kiss from a Rose" (not a Christmas song but it mentions snow 🙂) Roger Miller's "Little Toy Trains", previously done by Glen Campbell and Randy Travis A mashup of "Christmas Time is Here" (from the Peanuts Christmas) and “Pure Imagination” (from Willy Wonka) 19th century Christmas standard -- “O Holy Night"; a new version, not their 2012 arrangement Traditional African-American song, but with updated lyrics -- "Children Go Where I Send Thee" A "collaboration" using Elvis's voice from his recording of "O Little Town of Bethlehem"
