The ironic part about this game is its pretty much the only skill-based game at most fairgrounds, which is why they have a win limit Edit: dang it's amazing how many people are salty they can't win this themselves ergo it has to be impossible according to physics. Used to run this same game at a theme park, there’s a lot of slack in the ladder making this way easier. You can tighten or loosen the line to make it more difficult. Whenever it’s set up like this, it’s easier while the ladder is close to the inflatable, but will get difficult once you are no longer touching the inflatable. The trick for using hands and feet is: right hand left foot move at the same time and vice versa. Always hold your place with opposite hand and foot and move the others not holding your place.

It’s just keeping your centre of gravity in line with the starting point, doing it standing is easier than crawling because you can use your arms more to balance yourself like a slack-line.
@c0nc3ntr8d6
@c0nc3ntr8d6 2 жыл бұрын
It has nothing to do with a balancing with your arms. It’s about not shifting weight and keeping your contact points in the center. Your hands throw it off by causing the weight to shift when picking up a hand to progress further.
@serotoninreal
@serotoninreal 2 жыл бұрын
@@c0nc3ntr8d6 By balancing arms I meant to keep your centre of mass relative with the line at the start (by moving your hands his becomes easier), when your centre of mass moves from that line you will start to tilt, like when you balance a disk on your fingers, you're balancing it's centre of mass. Whatever your contact points theory is, would probably be a method in which you're able to keep your centre of mass in that line.

That's because walking up one of these is much easier than crawling. The whole point is you need to keep your center of mass straight in the middle, following a line made by the two points where the rope connects to the base. When you walk, it's much easier to keep your center of mass along that line, but not so much when you're having to crawl

There will be very tiny movement , almost like magic trick, barely noticeable, once you figure it out, the staff will tell you "no you can't do that" I barely remember one of the game I played, which was to use a rope to move an object to the designated location. It was super easy when demonstrated by the staff, but when she handed over the rope to me, she twisted the rope 360°, I saw that, so I twist it back, and got stopped by the staff (with awkward laugh "No sir you cannot do that")

The ladder is in a locked state where it can’t rotate freely and the employee is demonstrating how ‘easy’ it is to attract customers- after all if he can do it backwards then surely someone else can do it forwards. When a customer attempts the climb, you’ll see more instability because they release the mechanism restricting the rotation of the ladder.

Simple secret. You have to walk right in the middle. People climp using alternating left and right movements makes it unstable and flips you off and off. Stand perfectly in the middle like this guy. See how his feet is perfectly in the middle of the rungs. Going backwards helps because when you lean back it helps climb up the inclined rungs using your body weight and a leaning angle without much movement or energy. If you fall back you fall up towards the top where you can catch yourself and grab the top. If you walk forward the inclined rungs will be hard to overcome since the high incline angle will make you fall over backwards. Takes a lot of energy and force and balance which will shake the climbing rope ladder bridge. Still takes practice and agility to place every foot dead center on the rungs going backwards and using your arms to counter any movements but definitely doable for many if you just know the secrets. Now go out there and win some prizes.

This is an easy game with practice. It is is game of skill not luck or chance like most others. The ladder has a balancing point of straight down the middle because that is where the 2 points of contact are. If you keep your center of balance over the middle of the ladder you can keep it balance without twisting around. Now with that said, walking up backwards is EXTREMELY hard and shows he has practiced 1000s of times.

It is the same as tight-rope walking, except there is no visible guideline, so you have to have a thorough understanding of the point on the crossbars where the centre of gravity is. If you can learn to tight rope walk, and you have endless free hours with this ladder equipment structure at your disposal, then you have a recipe for mastering this skill.

I worked for a carnival for 10 years. That was my game for the last 4 years of my carney life🤣🤣 I've mastered that rope climb game. I can walk it up forward backwards and sideways. I try to get the guys that come to my town to let me walk it after I get their prize lol. They don't 🤣🤣

Every single ladder con ive ever seen irl requires you to have 3 points of contact at all times, and no part of your body can touch other than your hands and feet. I've been kicked off this thing more than a couple times because my knee touched, once because i took both hands off at the same time. Doing it by the rules is damn near impossible.

As long as you can balance on the ring s themselves this is probably the easiest way to beat this game (forwards, not backwards) since the real struggle is keeping the ladder from flipping. Having only 2 points of contact makes it significantly easier to balance yourself then the usual 4 people have when they try to crawl up it

He didn’t release the switch yet.. I used to work this game as a summer jobs.. we a literally told to cheat the customer for the money.. It really bothered me so the day I quit I didn’t flip the switch and they lost a lot of prizes that day.. I would say money but those prizes are super cheap and come in bulk..
