For someone who was born in Israel and never actually lived there , it seems like the majority of Israelis are adopting a defensive approach regarding that song and are being grateful above and beyond grateful to anyone who chooses to react to that hot potato. This is what I think . Stop apologizing and be grateful for something that should've comed natural . It's a beautiful song , precisely composed and sang in the exact amount of emotions and hint to October 7th without crossing lines or stepping on someone foot .Eden is a talented performer and vocalist, one of the best this year. Israel and Israeli don't need to expect to qualify or get any support. Thank you for the reaction. I’m curious as an Israeli what you thought of the symbolism in the music video? I just want to point out, the interpretive dancing is purposefully meant to steal focus from Eden. “Someone stole the moon tonight, took my light, everything is black and white”It’s supposed to look chaotic and weird. It’s supposed to symbolise the young dancers of Nova panicking, running for their lives. This song should make you uncomfortable, should make you tear up. It’s not political to sing about loss and mourning. To tribute to those who died, those who are still fighting for life, those who are struggling to mourn in this “hurricane”.

Like the forest after a fire we will grow and grow stronger and stronger again, we will dance again...

The song is nice. Its the video that really gets me every single time. Too many subtle references to the Nova party massacre. Flashing lights for the shooting. The red sunrise for when the attack started. The dancers in white as for angels. The bullet hole in her shirt.

The group of dancers when the video start, they running away, like hiding when terrorist enter the Nova music festival in the morning of October 7th, 6:40am. if you notice the video is outdoor in nature, like in Nova festival. Young Pepole that want to celebrate music and life found themself in one of the worst terror attack in the world. Imagne the dancers like those young Pepole "dancing" and need to hide and runaway, very sad and horrible.

The song was originally called October Rain. You know what it's about. Eurovision made her censor it. Her voice is so powerful and compelling. And she's very beautiful. She wins in my book.

It feels to me like this "interpretive dancing" is obviously the huddled position ppl had when they were in shelters and being shot at when grouped together (on October 7th). I heard testimonials so it's engraved in my mind. And then when they dance it goes between dancing like at the nova party and then aggressive fighting vibes. so contrasting and so close to reality.

I stopped watching Eurovision years ago because of the deplorable level of the music these days but this song is actually a good song in itself, Eden has a gorgeous timbre and having seen her sing it live for a bit in a shorty..looks like it IS actually how she sounds so, yeah..should musically be the topcontender but we all know ..it being Israel it won't win.
