Usually dopata ziyada use ni hoti . It's a good idea but I'm a tailor too , when you make the shirt using width ( araz / chorai) side it does not sit on the body properly. But only the person who knows will notice and not everyone. It will be more obvious with thick material.

True... But in many dress materials its printed in such a way itself that we cannot cut length in lengthwise cloth. Even for saree blouses its d same. Borders cannot be cut due to length shortage and forced to cut length in widthwise.

@@roohiesharief8091 Half of 42" is 21" . Ap material ke hisaab se 21. 5 or fitting wala ho with zip to 21. 3 rakh ker sewing kern gi , cuuuting ki liye ek on 1" increase kerna ho ga . So cutting 22.5" per ho gi .
