This week in my sewing space… birthday makes along with a little bit of knitting!

Hi, welcome to my sewing space. Thanks for joining me today.
I’m wearing a Tilly and the Buttons Rosa Shirt made with remnants of cotton sateen.
Current project is the Maggie Switch Bag by Studio 7t7, more details in my previous vlog.
Baby’s dress Simplicity 9117, XXS-L (up to 11kgs, 87cm height) I used 1mt of main fabric and lining, which is slightly less than pattern suggests, mostly due to using the decorative edge so hem allowance could be omitted.
Broderie Anglaise from Percy’sFabrics in Newton Abbot.
Birthday crown was freehand cut from felt and a vinyl cut number done on my Cricut machine.
Knitting the Whitmore Sweater by Ami Lowden which I bought via Ravelry.com.

I love how your Tilly and the Buttons shirt turned out using the two fabrics in the same print. It's gorgeous! I have some linen viscose fabric in two colourways of the same print. I think i will keep that pattern in mind for any little scraps i have left over after i use them for what i bought them for.

Thanks. It’s a great pattern for using up pieces as it’s all in panels. I just shortened the sleeve pattern to what I had left

I’m struggling to find time to sew too at the moment. I’m loving that bag fabric and your progress already looks great. Your cute granddaughter looked fab in her dress. I’m not a knitter but have recently started crochet, I must admit I’d love to be able to do those sorts of designs!

Thanks. It seems like as soon as I started a vlog to share all my sewing I found my sewing time disappearing 😂 At least with the bag I can do a little at a time. My granddaughter is as cheeky as she is cute, had all 6 grandchildren here yesterday for a little birthday tea for her. I love crochet too.
