@Ephraim Kihahu Cyril Ramaphosa was supposed to replace Mandela when he stepped down in 1999. But other senior comrades in the ANC preferred Thabo Mbeki to take over as the ANC president. Mandela told Cyril to take a break in politics & concentrate on his businesses & when he finally comes back he'll be wiser & better equipped person to lead South Africa.

He and a white prison guard formed a friendship, one of them is white and one of them is black. Not really surprising (for 15 years I witnessed a beautiful friendship of a white woman and a black woman, they never argued and they always had each other’s back). I’ve come to realize that the masses want this world to be a hard place to live in. They let their egos get in the way. What is so hard about treating another human being the way you’d wish to be treated?

Who said anything about killing people. Maybe that's what's in your heart or lack of one. Idk, is wickedness a trait we want to keep. That's rhetorical. ... early for a few years (like that makes a lot of difference!). But he refused because he wanted to continue fighting for the dismantling of apartheid and the freedom of his people. What is the point of being released if he can be re-arrested at anytime, since the oppressive system is still there? Look at Robert Sobukwe, he was sentenced for 3 years but ended up re-arrested and detained without trial and died in custody under the apartheid regime. This is widely known facts and he wrote about it in his autobiography. You speak as if he has something to hide.

@emmanuelvincentisraelletse5192 3 ай бұрын
He was never silent on kleptocracy, Hagemony, corruption, social injustice no matter who was the perpetrator. ANC is an organization was already corrupted Mandela was not even a part of physically and day to day modus operandi in part due to his incarceration. Those that were in the upper enchiladas after his release would attest otherwise. The was an instance one day he was waiting for his driver and bodyguard to escort him to a place torn by civil unrest and black on black murderers. The man couldn't Wait and took a public transport (taxi) to a place in question. So many instances of proactive progressive thinking of the man it would take light years for SA to have someone remotely close to being his kindred spirit In closing Muhammad had critics, Jesus had critics, Bhudda had critics yours is surely valid but not a reflection of this Amazing man
