yeah uldaman dwarf bosses really scared the hell out of me. other players LOS, avoiding the fires, player getting debuff, and as a monk, its really hard to dps to get more healing

Thanks for your input! I have been much better with everything mentioned but obviously there are still moments that catch me of guard. In time it will get loads better. I have been poor with my Ring and stun, I think that will start improving once the healing becomes easier but I have been working on those, hopefully I can add clips in of me actually doing this cause I've only shown the poor moments which make me look bad and vulnerable :D

for real man, i main warrior as well and these past couple weeks have felt kinda bad not being able to help much with incorporeal and not at all with afflicted :( i'm gearing my evoker now because i dont't enjoy that feeling lmao

@@AnEnragedCat I main DH so I can relate for the most part although I was at least helpful for Incorporeal. I also love my Prot Warrior but it doesn't feel as great right now. Sad times :(

Tbh all dps and tanks should give healing a try and try to get at least to a level of proficciency in them so they can heal +16s. You will learn so much about the encounters by healing them. Waaay more and way faster than if you are dpsing/tanking. You will start noticing when big aoe dmg, some positioning and also how certain damage profiles feel for different bosses.

I think a few disagreed but this made most sense to me, I don't know :D

Yeah Meg is amazing and even though her videos are more tailored towards MW, she breaks down fights and damage patterns so it's incredibly useful for all healers. Good luck with the Monk, it's incredibly fun!

Thanks for the tips and appreciate that we can agree on the affix. Going into nearly every key I asked all that could dispel, to dispel. And yet, completely ignored even though they agreed to it. In terms of pugs and who I play with, being a Zero to KSM, I can't add other players and continue to group with them even though that Druid was awesome. I can however continue with the same group if they are up for another key. Not stated in my rules and everyone does their challenge slightly different but that's one of mine. Ha, Hunter love is always necessary and it will continue, they do it to themselves :P

@@Dillisan Also bunch of things for uldaman. The trio dwarfs isnt really tough as there isnt much outgoing damage. You can get away with as little healing as 40k HPS in even on +20. For the trogg (Bruh-mach) you should save bigger CDs for when the totem comes out and just do top ups when the totem isnt up on people who are taking damage. The third boss is the breaker of pugs tbh. What is currently happening is DPS not using any defensives/health pots(even in +20) when they get the bleed or they use them once they drop to below 20% which is too late on that boss. The defensives have to be used the second they get the bleed. Without defensives it just ticks for way too much and especially on healers like MW and Disc that fight is close to impossible to heal if dps sleeps on their buttons. Golem is kinda whatever. Not very many high damage spikes going out and most people just die to the slow moving balls (even in +20). Otherwise it is pulsing pretty constant damage. Biggest downfall after pugs sleeping on the fire balls is if the group gets split up. Last boss is same as emberron in terms of damage profile. It is pulsing constant damage and there arent many big spikes. Biggest problem on this fight for pugs is positioning. If you have a pure melee group for this then it is fine as everyone will stick kinda close. But if you have a range or two i group they will stay in narnia making some of the healing extremely difficult for no reason. Just tell them to group up.

Hey, thanks for all the tips and I'm glad you're enjoying the videos! I have been struggling with the vivify cleave, something I improved on for the next episode (I hope anyway), but still need some work on that. I do actually have my WA's setup nicely which tracks everything I need, I had to add some sound queue's though for Vivify procs mainly, so I think I'm good on that front. I'll check the Gift one though, perhaps I need sound queues for that. Can't remember if my Cocoon heals, I will have to look into that, it's something I often save but I need to use it more, this I know. Appreciate your comment :)

Yup this is the biggest issue I am facing (imo anyway). The panic is real some times but it's improving. You are right about the key level, my experiences have been better at the higher key levels, jumping into a 10 was scary but I proved it was very possible and went even further so I'm happy with my progress so far :)

Yup it's disappointing, no matter what role I play I help with everything I can. Loving Monk and it's been an interesting experience healing in general and I have a new appreciation to those that heal. Naz, you are amazing and I'm glad you enjoyed the video

everybody hated this affix, as dps player i lost so much uptime because i had to dispell 2, yes 2 ghosts most of the time because the healer didnt know about it or simply wasnt cooperative, we kindly wrote down that it is mainly his job to dispell but he didnt even use his buffs (mark of the wild) throughout the dungeons. So i gave up and did everything myself, again. Thank god i talented 2 dispells that week (evoker)

Every player should chip in and do what they can, I think it was just pure ignorance and they had no idea what was going on most of the time :D

The no affix thing was just NA from what I understand, so they disabled M+ on the Tuesday. It was back for Wednesday for EU reset and it introduced a new bug, Sanguine occurring in keys lower than 14 lol. Yeah I felt sad playing my DH/Warrior, can't do anything to deal with them, though apparently DK's could heal Afflicted with Death Coil which sounds incredibly funny to me xD Glad you enjoyed

Man, I would suck healing a raid but thankfully I have zero interest in raiding this tier :D

@@Dillisan Because so many ragnaros are just like that, whine whine whine and then leave. Personally I have never left a key but so many ragnaros players I always give em a chance and they leave at the first sight of a wipe even if key is timeable. Also had the same issue with Zul'jin. Mex servers as well no racism just from what I've seen personally. Also agree the challenge is fun and not many people play mistweaver fist weaver and it makes good content keep it up.

That's fair. I'm not a fan of leaving keys either but sometimes it's just for the best. I mean, the last key in this video was awful but I stuck with them lol. @@Dillisan It's not just Rag players, Quel'thalas and Azralon are also in this boat. Once in awhile you find the needle in the haystack, but 99% of the time they are hotdog water. Full zugzug and will leave your key at the drop of a hat.

Team play is the way! Yeah I didn't think mass dispel worked, I thought the Priest was helping initially but turns out they wasn't lol

That's Opie, great addon and saves loads of space on your bars. Quite simple to setup and you can use the same ring across all your characters. Plus, you can create as many rings as you want, so you can have one purely for mounts/toys/consumables. It's great :)

@@Dillisan sure, but remember there are things that are not easily dispelled, Curses require a Lock or Shaman for example. as a Pally i cant dispel Diseases neither. so LoH is my best bet when those show up.

If just ONE other player helps, the affix is incredibly easy. If the toxic player base leaves this down to the healer, as apparently it's a "healer affix", then it can be very tough at times. DPS complain because it means using a GCD which results in lower dps, but if they die because an Afflicted goes off, they deal zero damage.

Diskhate, can confirm the affix is beans if others wont spare a talent point or GCD to help. In that case, I brick their key and just leave at this point. It's not worth my time or effort (or sanity) to have to micromanage the afflicted mobs, plus do all the mechanics, plus all the healing, etc.

I had some awesome Guardian Druids, it made me want to play mine!

@@Dillisan ive got all my healing spells macrod to be mouseover and havent needed to click for it, i can give u the mouseover macro i use for it if youd like to try it

i have an alt pally that i play on when im done things on my main and for afflicted i never dispelled them i just use word of glory on them and it insta fullheals them

I use mouseover macros for my dispel but I use Clique for my healing so there's no healing spells on my bar. However there's a setting I can enable which turns them into mouseover heals which I wasn't aware of :)

@@Dillisan when you leave Faeline Stomp, Awakened Faeline, and Ancient Concordence persist for 8 seconds after leaving, you don’t lose anything for walking off of it. As long as you touch it again within that 8 seconds. It allows you to adjust while using melee attacks without losing stomps buff.

@@Dillisan o ok, for just the cleave you actually have to be on the stomp. I got you, but that where your free vivify, and essence font come in.

I didn't know you could use gems to purchase crests but I personally wouldn't do this. I would save them for sockets later on when you have the gear and then a Lariat would be huge.

Thankfully I never healed during Explosives, this is my first experience ever healing M+. There seems to be split opinions on this but I'm totally with you on this, I can dispel one no worries but both during heavy healing situations is problematic. Some have commented saying it's totally a healer affix and they claim to be a healer themselves which I either highly doubt or they are just completely trolling. Either way, a poor attitude to have imo, even if you are capable dealing with them as a healer.

I'm a little confused, why would Sanguine be easier for melee and harder for ranged? I personally feel it's way harder for melee. Ranged don't have to stand in sanguine, melee have to follow the mobs and avoid it. At most, ranged have to move slightly to adjust their position but you're ranged for a reason, you stand away from sanguine and not near/in it like melee. Along with this, I'm also a melee healer so it was a pain at times but ring of piece is great when used correctly.

@@Dillisan no, you misunderstood me, sanguine is only hard for the tank, and only in high keys (because for most of dungeons its limited space where you can move pack without pulling others).

I get that but if it means not dying and the rest of the group are ignorant enough to ignore them, you gotta do what you gotta do.

Hopefully the second time round more players dispel and we can actually see the affix properly, but we'll see I guess.

@@Dillisan What I noticed is that those adds can either be cleansed (with the appropriate capable spell) or healed to full to clear them. Both of which I can do with almost zero effort if they were to show up in my UI (I use vuhdo). Its the extra effort of having to target or have mouse over stuff. Maybe blizzard just felt like being assholes this season with this affix. Bug or feature, we'll see I suppose.🤷‍♂

@@Dillisan Under a 10 i find it rare to see anyone dispell above 15 it depends on the group some are good some are bad. Above 20 most of the time people are competing to dispel it the quickest. Yes i do find the struggle entertaining takes me back to learning evoker beginning of season 1.

Yeah I went into both Plater and Elv and nothing fixed it. There was a fix from Quazii for plater but this didn't work for me. There was also something I could try within the default settings but again didn't work for me. Oh well, hopefully it's fixed next time round.

@@Dillisan I missed that, I heard you say you had to click the mob and then disspell. So you changed it during the week then! I find it hard to follow on youtube movies if people pres buttons on their keyboard or mouse. I'm just watching it for fun. I've used Vuhdo plus mouseover keybinds since it was first release, grid plus mouseover before that. I like that fistweaving is not locked behind a pvp legendary, that was the worst time, since I hate pvp and had to do it to play monk. Thanks for pointing out an excellent mistweaver resource that's really helpfull! Also healed last week on my druid, trust me I felt your pain 🙄 Most of the time I had to do both, the only advantage on druid is hots will give you more margin to do that.

@@00wheelie00 All good I understand. I actually said I had to click on the affix mob and then heal them from the target frame. With my setup, mouseover healing doesn't work though apparently this is something I can enable so I will get on that. Hopefully next week is better ;)

Hey, I appreciate the comment along with the tips but Fistweaving is how the community wanted me to heal when they voted for it. Had it been decided by me I could change my approach.

Aww so you're doing this because the community voted on it, that's cool. Didn't mean to step on your toes just thought I'd try and let you know there is a different way, and one that might click with you more so than the Fistweaving. But if you can master fistweaving then I'm sure you could do any class given a few minutes to understand it. But keep up the good work. I liked the video and look forward to the next and hearing about your improvements. 1 note I'd give then is just use sheilun's give more often, about every 45 seconds it'll be good enough to be a mini healing CD, and if you let it get to full, it will heal everyone to full easy! It's like having a mini revival while keeping the real one in your back pocket. It doesn't need to be at 10 stacks to be good. And if you're taking lessons over the one that makes them stack faster then you are mostly using it for the buff anyway, but the one that makes a cloud appear every 4 seconds are good for the dungeons with super heavy party damage. Also, something to think about... Have you thought of keeping your talents as is but instead of Rising Mists using Tear of Morning? You can have the whole party with ReM near 100% of the time and it just makes the healing done by your Vivify and Enveloping Mists just hit way harder. And utilizes the free cast of Enveloping Mists from Chi-ji more value too. Also don't forget to spearhand strike or leg sweep too. 1 kick/stun is worth more than most any of the heals. My bad I apologize. You are doing great and keep it up. I'll just watch now.

@@bryceamas Nah it's all good, honestly. I very much appreciate and welcome the tips, just know that U have Autism and ADHD so I struggle to take in new information, especially written lol. Plus I don't like to change things so I will look into the talent swaps you recommended but probably won't change anything... I started this series in season 1 with the BDK (wasn't easy for me), every season going forward is purely voted by the community. Near the end of the season the community will once again vote for next seasons roles (melee/ranged left to pick), then the spec. I wanted to play MW the least but I'm honestly glad they picked it, it's not easy for me and I love the utility Monk brings. Glad you're enjoying, new Episodes out every Friday :)

Of course! I think these are fun videos and it's fun to watch someone learn and grow as well as watch them and learn new things myself. Monk (MW) is one of my favorite class/specs. They are so much fun for all the personal things you can do with them. They have an awesome suite of Dr buttons, 3ish AoE stun/interrupts and don't forget Transcendence! That ability is fun when it comes in handy. Keep it up! I'll keep watching for sure! 👍👍👍 And don't worry about the personal things. You do you and have fun, that's all that matters.

I mean technically u are not wrong . I was a holy priest main season 1 with 2.8 io and each time a player dies to a knockback mechanics (the big add on algathar academy ) i ll always try to leap of faith them . Even though it s technically their fault for not running away/dodging the mechanic , it s always a good mentality to have thinking about what u couldve done to save them . (I can ensure you that i did some crazy saves with leap of faith throughout last season :p ) TlDR : it s never your fault as a healer if someone dies , unless you want to improve , then there is always something u couldve done better :p

I understand that you also have to take the other players into consideration when it comes to success. All in all its been an enjoyable series, keep it uo.

I hard disagree with this line of thought Enbeeyo. If you have a dispell, and its afflicted week, you are expected to help out and not go full zugzug. It's not a healer affix, at all. Let me know how VP goes for you while you designate it as a "healer affix," cause multiple people are going to die (we have other things we have to dispell there, and we cant cover it at all alot of the time in the first section of the dungeon).

Pretty sure I only say that a couple of times, it's not a repeat :D. The Maggot frontal for example, I can stun them but fail to do so but it's not MY fault if they stand in the frontal and I can't do anything to heal them through it. The Whither curse I also admit that I failed to interrupt them but again that's not all on me. I point out my flaws because I know I need to improve and it also helps viewers that don't know about these things. There's still a lot I need to do to improve, I am completely new to the spec so this is to be expected. Things will get better :) I have still been doing the Heroic weekly cause my gear is so bad and my luck for upgrades has been awful, so every chance I take it. But this is something I will ditch soon. I already stopped doing the spark stuff as mentions in either this video or the previous, same for the world boss. Time is very limited, I usually only have Wednesdays for recording.

I watched all three of this series back to back before commenting this and heard remarks along those lines at least a dozen times, those were two examples from this video which I thought were particularly salient. But that’s what I mean about working on your mental, healing in this game is entirely a mental game of balancing the things you can and can’t control and understanding the difference. The first step of that is realizing that you probably won’t outheal damage from other people making mistakes, but your toolkit has a LOT more than just healing and if you think about those tools (like your kick, leg sweep, RoP, para) as if they’re major healing cooldowns you’ll find you have to heal a lot less by stopping damage before it happens.

@@Dillisan if people know what to do, VP is the easiest dungeon. If people save their defensives for times where its actually needed. VP doesnt have like group damage thru all the dungeon that is significant. For example, if you do hoi, there its hard, because the trash aoes, the bosses aoe, and so many things happening. In VP people pretty much dont have to use defensives at all besides the 2nd boss ( dragon ), and when they use em, which on average at least 2 are for each class, its easy.

@@Swarmah I'll bear that in mind, thanks. I generally dislike VP cause of the Dragon boss in pug environments but I've only experienced lower keys so far, hopefully higher keys go a lot better.

@@Dillisan define low key. :D I have some guildies who refuse to help people with keys, cos they say a +18 is low key, some say even a +20 is too low key for them :D
