No way did you guys just interview my favourite Korean artist?!! Lots of love from a South African fan (living in London lol) 🇿🇦 12:55 hitmaker indeed. I can't think of a single bad Big Naughty song. The man is a poet (no seriously, Nangman’s first track is a poem, not a song ) and multitalented musical genius. I love it when he sings. I love it when he raps. I honestly just love everything he puts out and how he consistently evolves as an artist. This makes me so happy, I'm a huge fan of Big Naughty from Nigeria 🇳🇬 also West Africa. When we eat, the Yoruba people of Nigeria usually say "E was je un(e)" which translates to "Come and eat" and it is a sort of invitation to anyone around you who is not eating, if you're close, family and friends may accept the invitation otherwise the response is "ah gba gbi re" or just thank you

I love this, I truly do. But as an African teaching about Africa I just hope the distinction between the countries is expressed to the artists you meet. I really hope you emphasis how diverse Africa is and how the food and drink you share are very Senegalese. I just want to be sure that the artists that aren’t as knowledgeable definitely don’t generalize Africa like they would a country cause it just happens a lot. I know he knows Africa is a continent, im just saying generally.

As someone who is not African (black American) and not well versed in the countries of Africa. I've noticed that they do tend to emphasize that these are things from Senegal and they also specify that they are Senegalese. I'm pretty sure they've made the distinction in every one of these videos so far.

@neesha901 yh they definitely do specify but there’s also a lot of comments they make such as ‘in Africa, we drink this tea when we’re chilling like watching football etc..’ - I’ve never heard of, (not to mention drank) the Ataya tea in my life until now and I’m also West African, so that’s where most of us are coming from, howeverrrr they definitely do try and in more recent vids I’ve seen them doing it a bit more. All in all it’s not super super serious (if Africa wins, we all win haha) but just something that they should keep in mind.

Well said. I’m from South Africa and I’ve seen people who know one country in Africa and will generalise the whole continent using that country so I think it’s very important to let them know how rich and diverse our countries are.
