The lone knight stood, soaked in the early winter rain, panting. He couldn't feel his right leg anymore, the rush job tourniquet he made held what little blood he still had inside him. His right shoulder had already went stiff from the arrow scraping at his bone. The great sword he so treasured, once gleamed so brightly, now chipped and dull, cover in the gore of once fearsome mercenaries, bandits and killers. Many more yet remain. Taking it all in, he scoffed. Now it's a fair fight.
