I`m sorry but the SVD is not even near a "D tier weapon", its not S+, but for a weapon you can get for under 100k, its damn near one of the best multipurpose weapons in its price range.

@@loganjohnson8356 Highly doubt it, yes it might get more recoil and be less controllable, but its still gonna be throwing 54R downrange at a relatively fast rate, 54R with the new armor system is prolly gonna be even more lethal than earlier so that should counteract the new recoil system if the SVD has been "nerfed" by it.

I love the SVDS so much. Drippy as heck, great ammo and the weapon itself especially after it's buff just feels good and right. Plus it is one of the few weapons worth of slapping the PSO scope on and it's my favorite scope. On shorter maps like customs I love using this thing with an Ergo build and the Kiba x2.5 scope. Among the really modable weapons that i play it's definitely my favorite.

Gotta say the pre wipe was pretty fun, labs had its ups n downs but I ended this wipe with 300m. Svds imo is a c tier weapon depending on character skills,enemy armor, and ammo

svd is one of my favorites.. I know it doesnt use the greatest ammo - but it makes up for it with just the overall feel of the gun - fire rate isnt bad and recoil doesnt go too crazy.. many options for its attachments... probably in my top 5..

I'm sorry but I don't think that a modular, semi auto rifle that shoots mosin ammo that can pen any armor is a D tier gun. Your tier list source is rubbish.

Okay sure you shot a guy with level 5 armor a ton and it took forever to kill him. The SVDS isn't *bad* because of that. It's like you're entirely ignoring the fact you're using T-46M. Literally 54R leg meta ammo. If you're running BS? 2 tap thorax. If you're running PS? Probably 2, maybe 3. If you're running LPS, 3 maybe 4. You are using literally bar none the worst ammo for the SVDS and aiming for their body armor, you can't blame the SVDS. That's either lack of knowledge or lack of skill. I will say, if you're fully aware of this and put it in the title exclusively to get people who know Tarkov to click like "what the f is this guy on about," you're brilliant. Scummy, but brilliant.

i know im 2 weeks late but youre pretty misinformed about t46m. it has 1 less pen that lps and 4 less pen than ps, neither of which are breakpoints for pen chance (ps is 45, lps is 42, t46 is 41.) the guy with an hpc just got lucky on pen chance + the armor is uhmwp which is the best material against armor destruction. if he had ps he mightve killed him in 1 less shot at the most. lps and t46, against a class 5, are pretty much the exact same round. t46 might actually be a little better because it does more armor damage. the shitty leg meta 54r ammo is sp bt which has sub 30 pen.

Still, there's BT, SNB, and BS which are breakpoints, and BT should be buyable by the time you're running Punisher P6. and I'm also fairly certain the SNB craft unlocked just by workbench leveling last wipe. Also, while they aren't breakpoints, they still have a higher chance to pen armor. Literally every point does matter, even if it's minimal. When the ammo charts say "Oh, if it's in this category, it could take 3-6 shots," T-46M might take 6, LPS might take 5, and PS might take 3 as averages. I just think utilizing one of the worst-in-class ammo's and calling a weapon sub-par is moronic. After all, if I kit out a Mutant and load HP into it or kit out an M4 and run Warmaggedon and shoot for the chest, it's gonna look like a terrible gun. That's my point. The SVDS with good ammo is one of the best rifles in the game by far. @@orionfell
