LOL Me too. I'm around the same level and I had no idea until yesterday. I saw one video before this one but Vox explained it better. I love the hidden in plain sight nuances this game offers. You discover something new every time you play.

This is just a damage buff on top of what you already do, since there's no damage penalty... I'm just fkn amazed that people only realise all of this now? What the fuck have they done the past 2 weeks, that they don't know about the system/ damage types? I mean, Ryechews does the number crunching for stuff like this, so that's fine... but... 2 weeks to realise there are symbols linked to damage types? How do people play a game, without learning to play the fkn game? Did they get carried on Colossi? Shit, chances are that people realising this now, still run with 8 rank 1 mods in their weapons... To be fair, afaik know, the damage type is a final multiplier on damage, so it's 10% MORE damage, but it only applies to weapon attack, not bonus elemental. I also think there are weapons that have 20% instead of 10%, so it does matter in the end, IF we're going that route. Also, as great as the Organ is, there's another single shot launcher, that might do more damage with Gley, since it has crit, status and probs the highest base damage for all launchers, so assuming you can sustain infinite ammo on her... it should in theory nuke bosses. I've been using it on Bunny whilst farming, as you can 2-3 shot the Yellow health Elites/ mini-bosses.

It's also not emphasized anywhere and there are already elemental damage types in the game that are a lot more obvious. If you look at warframe you just have to hover over a gun within ur arsenal to see whether its a slash/pierce/impact damage type. It also has the symbol of that damage type next to the percentage number, something that doesnt happen in TFD. There's only text when you inspect the weapon and its not very clear. There's no need to be so pressed about people not knowing how to play the game. Like for example lets say a person has a job that requires a lot of reading and analyzing. They spend their entire day reading and shit at work and when they finally get off work and come home they want to play a game to wind down. This game happens to be TFD. This person isn't going to put the effort into reading and analyzing everything in the game because quite frankly, theyre sick of doing it at work. They'd rather just play a coomer character and shoot things to make them die. And thats gonna be the majority of people that play this game. If you have a problem with that find a friend group or play the game solo. Most of the things in this game can be done solo and unless u have a group that knows what theyre doing, then running public can genuinely slow you down bc enemy stats are increased.

@@giedrel1s You can even ditch element and just go pure crit+weak, I'm hitting 130k crits on thundercage, and 80k on non weak points. Granted, that's after a stupid amount of time investment in the thing.

There are other number videos that confirm this. Also the numbers are in your face when in combat. When you see damage numbers in yellow or green, you will notice that they are much higher than the grey ones. That means you're using the stronger archetype of damage.

no it adds 10% to your damage if you have the correct type. if you have the wrong one, you dont lose anything though. you just dont get the 10% bonus. its not important but for later bosses can be good if you are looking to minmax damage

I know she does amazing damage because my friend has been min-maxing his Gley and I don't even own her so I would be the one affected by the not being able to see but I haven't really noticed it so maybe its only a problem with a higher graphics setting because I only use low. @@Nexberd its not really ''to each their own'' because it nerfs your allies by having them not see weakpoints to shoot. this makes it objectively bad in teamplay. its more the big explosion rapid fire build that gley has. people take the rapid fire rocket launcher. i set my effects to low aswell to save fps when shit gets crazy but it doesnt change a thing for this. if you havent noticed then i guess your friend isnt using that rocket launcher or you are just focussing less optimal weakpoints on intercept battles (or none at all when the big ones are gone already. i've already completed all the intercepts but i hope you`ll go through them aswell as there is alot of kuiper and gold attached to those. its even worse in hard operations as the explosion completely masks the boss. all you got is an orange arrow but no head to aim for.

@@KumaKumaKuma28 no. I’ve used mods to add and it only ever applies the 1 base damage that came on the gun. Maybe it’s a bug. It didn’t work for me

@@corym.m.3084 So I just found out maybe why it's not showing for you. Go to options and under Gameplay. Scroll down until you see the section for Damage Display Options. Turn on Weapon Damage Details. It should start showing elemental damage with its icon. I just tested this with it on and off. Off doesn't show more than just the plain damage numbers.

Opposite. Early game everything dies within a few seconds upon spawn. Just because you're ok with your thundercage does not mean you couldn't be doing better with another.

Right now it doesn't matter in end game. If you have invested in a weapon and descendant and min max a bit, you will absolutely have no issues with the current content. There's a reason why all current difficult content has been beaten without paying attention to this. If you match, great, a bit extra damage, but there's so many ways to melt hard content right now that it's not needed. Maybe in the future with more content

Boooorrrrring.....I never want to get that strong with a character no matter the cheese. I want to be powerful but I also want the game to still feel like there are a few challenging things to it. I want look forward to playing each session and have that joy lasts for a long time. No wonder so many people get burnout so quickly. Game hasn't even been out 2 weeks.
