I wanted to try a clay mask since it has been a while, and I wanted a whole hair reset. My hair felt born again after rinsing it out after letting in sit for about 30 minutes! What is your porosity, and would you try a clay mask? Full routine will be posted on my KZfaq channel ❤️

@treasurebammeke8191 in simple terms if your hair takes in moisture well but feels dry pretty quickly or dries within an hour after washing you probably have high porosity. If product sits on your hair and doesn't take in moisture well without heat and stays wet for longer you probably have low porosity. If it's about equal of both descriptions then you have med/normal porosity. Hope that helps

Porosity is the amount of moisture the hair absorbs so low is dry

If you have sensitive skin. Dont apply it to your face. It burnt my skin and temporarily made my face darker.

And not actually the mask. Try it with just water and then do a patch test and see if you’ll like it better

Try adding water to the powder and then do a small patch test on your skin before spreading it… if it starts to burn rinse it off immediately before the dark spot comes back

Yes they are right it’s the apple cider vinegar that makes it burn you can add or take out to take the burning down you can add honey to it also to take the burning out of the mask

how do you feel about the detailing brushes that separate to be gentler on hair? my hair is 4c and about shoulder length and it’s been the best at detangling my hair but i worry that it’s causing breakage. i know you use a wide tooth comb but they do not work as well for me. please let me know if you have any recommendations, and i love your content! your hair is beautiful and you’ve given me strength to not shave my head again 😂

Clay mask is very good for hair, we do this in India also with Fuller's Earth. We mix rose water in the clay and put it on our hair and face like this

I used it once on my hair and face. Hair did good, BUT my face... I reacted so badly that i was seeing a dermatologist for some months, I had huge bumps. My hair did good though.

That's exactly the case for me, but I realized clay masks do a worse before it gets better situation. Clay draws out the toxins and debris from skin to unclog pores and it's important to moisturize afterwards to rehydrate skin barrier.

None of this should be clogging your drain because its a powder. it will break apart and mix with the water as it goes down. Like she said it looks soupy if you don't add enough powder like flour. flour don't stick to your drain if you run it with water.

I tried a clay mask and my hair (high porosity, 4c) was just sooooo dry when I washed. Please tell me whether the apple cider vinegar will change that before I think of trying again Of course there was some left and I had to ressemble a masquerade😂

You can also add oil to the mask or deep condition afterwards with a moisturizing conditioner.

Try it out with a little bit of oil, it doesn’t have to be a lot and see how your hair feels after. I rather end up with clarified hair that won’t break😅 I also have high porosity hair and it worked for me! Good luck🤞🏾
