Another thing, on those rough downhills either stay on the gas a little to keep drag off the rear wheel, so it won't kick, OR pull in your clutch so it doesn't have compression and kick the back wheel over bumps.

I think an adjusting suspension would of really helped her maintain momentum a little better in the corners. It looked pretty stiff. Still a great freaking job Lillian. I still stand by my last statement you are going to excel fast!

I said the same thing. She didn't have enough sag and the front forks were barely moving . I know she is light, but you gotta get it softer for her.

Honestly, for a first time out on a bigger bike on a total nightmare of a track, 7th is a decent result. It's going to take a little time to build the extra stamina needed to haul that 125 around, get used to the different geometry and higher center of gravity, she looked fine on the smoother sections and her speed will improve with bike fitness.

Stop the cap, 7th is not good. The top 5 is good. 7 is not good. It's not all skittles and rainbows. It's best to tell the truth rather than letting someone know it's ok to fail and come in last. anything under the top 5 list last.

The top six are pretty much training like it’s their job. It is a big jump for Lillian to get to that next level. I think she can do it. But it will take some work, solid work and time on the bike.

Sort out that dangling foot exciting corners, get back on the pegs and get drive and control through the pegs. Some feet-up training is called for. Ex-pro rider here.

Great video shame about the lost footage, Shame about the rough track but 7th is ok for her first outing on the new bike, Obviously she will be lacking in confidence and have a lot of nerves riding the new bike but when that confidence starts coming and she's giving it more gas and on a better tracks the results with improve you may not see that until mid racing season, Lilian needs to work more now on her fitness and needs to investigate different ruts each lap to find what works for her, Great first meeting Lilian keep your head up at all times and battle on girl believe in yourself and you will get there good luck.

Send her suspension off dad!! Then learn to adjust her clickers and set her sag. It'll make a huge difference!

Been there done that many times. It sucks when you know you’re faster but you just can’t/won’t pull the trigger. Once you get passed them you leave them behind though. Then you kick yourself in the ass for not doing it way sooner. Last year I was way behind the leader early in a race. Ended up pulling major ground on him throughout the race. Unfortunately, the race needed to be longer. My cardio was probably my biggest weapon because I really don’t think it was my riding ability that pulled him in. I figured I needed 1 more lap to really put the pressure on. Ideally, I needed 2.

@@VlogEpicness i hope to do a decent amount of racing this year. I definitely will be more aggressive. Last year I told myself to attack the track as much as I was comfortable with and I did that. So ill need to do the same with passing people. For me at the end of the day I need to be in one piece. My body is my money maker and I need to be healthy.

Still loving the journey guys! Almost carbon copy of her corners with the start of her time on the 85. Build confidence in those ruts and use them rather than being in them. The slower you go the more likely you are to fall over.

The ruts are tough at mesquite, that muddy sand drys up pretty quickly and makes hard pack ruts with sharp edges

That place is know for it's gnarly ruts for sure. She rides well, but watching her bike, it doesn't look like her suspension is set up properly. Not enough sag in the rear and soften up the forks a little !

Good job! I assume the previous videos of her mastering the ruts in practice was newer than this footage. Track looked good, but I hate ruts too. Last moto was in 4th briefly. What size bikes can they ride in this class?

Race craft, don't give up those inside corners right after you pass someone or if someone is right behind you. Good job on a rough track.

Maybe it's the track maybe it's the new bike but Lillian doesn't look as fast as she used to be especially in the corners.

Overall Lillian has really came a long way! She's taking jumps like a pro ! Give her a couple of races and she'll be at the front. She just needs to maybe try different lines. She's really looking good especially her 1st race on a bigger bike. Great job Lillian 👏

Althoug the 2t are great school to learn to ride, at this time, the 125 needs much more speed corner and Lillian wasn't having any...maybe the bike or suspension, isn't yet working for her... And she can't compete with the 250, 4T, that are much easier to ride...

Honestly, the fact that their dad knows nothing about moto, is holding these kids back tremendously. Obviously they’re progressing, but the fact that the dad thinks that they should always pick different lines is unreal.. I’ve heard him say some dumb shit throughout the time I’ve watched these videos. They’d be twice as fast, and 10x more educated with a dad that at least knew a little bit about moto.

You’re not wrong, I’ve said before that the kids would be better off if they had someone more experienced or knowledgeable to learn from. That’s why I try to surround them with positive people who know more than us. But I’ve heard enough high caliber racers say things like “don’t get married to one line” “the main line isn’t the fast line” etc. that I’ll stand by my statement. But if you watched the whole video I said she was taking rough lines, but it could be the best line, but you can’t tell from so far off the track.
