Thats fair. I think when dealing with or discussing any sort of social issue, its about balance. You can be pro black without making it your whole identity. I never got the "it was my ancestors, it wasn't me" thing. Like, who was asking you about your personal involvement in slavery? No one. It's just a deflection phrase used by people to try and avoid having to self analyze and critically think about their potential bias or outright hate.

@kyos852 жыл бұрын
@@nickcrim6735 few things 1) its not their history or actions, its their ancestor's so trying to act as if they have any part of something that people who are long dead by did. 2) how exactly can you use the phrase "it was my ancestors" as a scapegoat, it literally only functions as a reply to people trying to blame you for something you didnt do. 3) replying "it was my ancestors" when youre blamed for someone elses actions screams guilt? not sure if you know this but people generally dont like being blamed for the actions of family members, let alone ancestors, so yes they will say something like this when you try to blame them for an issue their ancestors caused. 4) how exactly is blaming someone for something they werent a part of, educating them on their roots? so to be clear, if you try to blame someone for something their ancestors did, logic tells you they are gonna say they arent responsible for what those people did

They feel guilt because people force guilt on to them, thats why it gets uncomfortable. If the one who wronged you died, you lost your chance to exact justice.

@Solaris Thats called overgeneralising.🙃 The new generation is composed of a whooole different group of people. I’m over everybody too, Dee. I just clock tf out when I come across people who have this victim ass mindset. And people try to make it seem like if you compare issues, you’re ‘dismissing’ emotions but idgaf. Let me be dismissive then. If someone doesn’t like you because you’re fat af, skinny af, ugly af, pretty af, black af, gay af, autistic af, whatever tf, it is what it is. There are men, women, and children on the very same planet as us being murdered in current genocides, little girls being forced into marriages with old men, people being murdered, raped, assaulted, left and right. You have parents losing children, children losing parents, wars, famine, homelessness, natural disasters destroying peoples lives and making them homeless with absolutely no certain future. But people like her want to be such victims and so oppressed just because they’re fat and self conscious about their fatness. A lot of the time when people are insecure about something, they project that onto others and assume that everybody is judging them for their insecurities because THEY are the ones constantly judging THEMSELVES, even if they’re in a room of people who are paying them no mind they will still feel like they’re important enough in random peoples lives to be the centre of attention and the focal point of judgement when in reality, a lot of us/most of us don’t give a flying fuck about you or your fat rolls. I am tired of this society we live in. People need to pull themselves tf together. That’s not to say that we can’t be upset about your our personal struggles just because of other people’s struggles (lord knows I be feeling the most fucked up, getting all types of therapy, etc) but what we’re not about to do is act like we’re the biggest, oh-so-helpless victims out of every single group of people or individuals on this planet- especially over some shit that doesn’t actually matter/has little-to-no effect on your actual life. If only people focused on ACTUAL life instead of giving themselves high blood pressure over what some randoms type online 🙃

Dee: who cares if someone’s racist just move on with your life. This is where I disagree because That’s all fine and dandy until the racist decides to make his or her racism your business. Like the Karens, police officers etc. Nobody’s a victim until they are so better to be vigilant but not make that your identity.

Also racist people have never met anyone of color. But if they meet, say a black person and the black person is always nice to the racist there is no way that the racist individual can remain racist so they can come around eventually.

@@ivory8492 Doing something about it especially for such a wide issue is also impractical to live your life. Your life would greatly shift if youd wish to actually make a change.

@@benshapiro8623 see the thing is I can’t be extra nice to a racist, if you hate me that’s your own problem and it’s not up to me to fix him or her. If I don’t like an individual in my life I stay far away from them, they need to do the same because at this point it’s become an obsession with people they don’t like.
@benshapiro86232 жыл бұрын
@@machedari I understand I’m just saying racist people have no reason to be racist, if you guys were say, in a workplace and you were forced to work with someone who is racist. It might be a little awkward at first but eventually he or she will realise there is not reason to hate someone based in their race.

Victim addiction is the new alcoholism. Not to say there aren't biases inherent in the system, but self-victimization is beyond pathetic. And frankly whenever I see white women complaining, my eyes roll back so far I need an optometrist.
