@ Lakrfan Our American English has roots in many languages and often translated differently. It is rather arrogant to make this comment rather than simply appreciating and complimenting the talent of the artist.

@@josephmcvicker7280 You seem to be the arrogant one. If English is presented then it should be offered in the correct manner. I have nothing but high regard for the talent of the fine craftsman.

This is a woodworking channel, not a language teaching lesson. Please don't be blunt and appreciate the effort to make it understandable for as many viewers as possible. This man did a better job than most of us would do and deserves compliments instead of corrections. Excuse me for my not perfect English, I am not a native speaker, trying to communicate with you in a language that I do not perfectly read, write or speak, but probably better than you would understand my native language.

Is it really "wood work" if you're not adding 10 gallons of epoxy? Next you'll be saying that epoxy with glitter in it isn't natural. :D

This is a great wood project book kzfaq.infoUgkxkPIWb22DigCqxmlXerCyUF4HCl6eSU2L . Most of the projects use the pallet simply as a source of reclaimed wood not as a recognizable pallet so even if you didn't have a pallet you could make these projects with any reclaimed (or even new) wood. The instructions are excellent. The style is charming and would work with lots of different decor. There are quite a number of projects that involve tiling of teh wood pieces which is a really cool idea and can produce beautiful pieces when working with aged wood.

I have to say Oliver, a man as young as yourself, you show skills matching people with decades at the craft. And as much as I love the sounds of the lathe work, this was just as amazing. The beauty is in it's simplicity. No fancy edges. Letting the woods grain be the star. These longer videos with explanation text is a great touch also. Thank you for sharing another amazing work.

It's worth leaving on the original French subtitles; however: "Comme papa dans maman!" What kind of expression is that? 😃 Other than that, it's beautiful. No epoxy (thank you!) and beautiful patterns. What I also like is the subtle (and sometimes outright quirky) humour you use. "Look, I can use a hand saw to make dovetails, but in reality, this is how we do it." Plus the attention to safe work practices, etc. Expressing things without saying them. I've been following you for a couple of years now, and it's just a joy every time.

If one buys an Ikea table that even remotely looks similar, you just buy it and don't really see it as piece you may want to keep for upcoming years. Now if you buy the piece we just saw, you imagine it for a few decades in your possession. It's a whole other ballgame. There is soul going into this piece.

I work wood because I love it. I love it most when I'm NOT doing it for a buck. If there's a customer involved, there's stress involved.
