5:20 You nailed it completely. To sue for defamation of character literally requires one to demonstrate losses or damages. If 1stman is claiming that "any publicity is good publicity" and waving away your criticism then he is admitting that your content was not defamatory. In short, his accusation is spurious.

I mean let’s be honest, that’s usually how these types are. Talk of “showing no emotion” then precede to cry like a baby whenever they get criticised. If anything that’s weak, because in itself you are showing that you are not able to admit that you’re struggling with emotional difficulties, meaning you don’t have that security.

When my father was alive i never EVER saw him cry, he didn't show when he was in pain and it eventually ended up hurting him. We found out after he died that he told his closest friend that he was having breathing problems but never told us because he didn't want my mother and i to think he was weak. It completely broke me. Men, don't be afraid to show your emotions. George thank you for standing up for what you think is right even when that freak is threatening you.

I'm sorry to hear your story, and I'm sorry to say it is a common one. A friend at school wasn't very typically 'manly' as others would put it. He had a passion for design, loved to plant and draw flowers, and wore his emotions on his sleeve. Other boys at school harassed him so heavily for this that he shut down from everyone and eventually left school. I can't find him anymore, but I hope he went somewhere better and I hope I can see him one day to apologize for how people treated him, even if it's not my apology to give.

grew up with a father that was the exact opposite, in my teens i got a ton of compliments on how i can so freely open up to my therapists and doctors even if my situation was horrible and it hurt to talk about it. It makes a huge difference when things such as vulnerability are normalized when growing up, and i wish more people had the same experience i did. I had to watch my dad cry all the time when i was growing up, he couldn’t have a job for 8 years due to his severe depression and anxiety, and when the same happened to me i didn’t feel shame about it, i just knew i was ill and needed help, and i was able to get the help i needed very easily because of not feeling any shame towards being unable to live a normal life simply because i was depressed

This so called freak also suggest to prioritise mental health, I don’t think your dad did so. We shouldn’t show emotion to family and especially women, but if we have close friends, aka a brotherhood we can share it there. Most men of this generation lacks a real brotherhood. Also meditation and breathing exercises is also promoted by 1st man. Sorry for you loss.

Lads, if life is getting you down, don't bottle it up and just trudge along because you're expected to. Acknowledge that shit is rough, talk about it, even if anonymously. Everyone has bad days, and you don't deserve to have your emotions and feelings invalidated because you're a bloke. You're a human like everyone else. I've lost a good friend to suicide, and while I can't be sure of the exact details, maybe talking about the shit he was going through would've helped him. It sickens me that people would say that a guy needs to "man up", when theyre going through something that legitimately strains their mental/emotional health.

The entire 'men cannot show emotion' thing i'll never understand. It's an issue i've been struggling the opposite of. The fact society constructs these ideas about emotion in such a way that people have to bottle everything up sucks. They all preach free speech but not the freedom to share emotion without judgement. Men can't cry or have too strong emotion or their 'weak'. Women can't have too strong emotions or its 'that time of the month' I truly wonder when as a society we all decide to grow the fuck up

@cfantini1913 Жыл бұрын
@@RBLXDignitysHQ hi, I'm a psychology major. The point is that there is not objective metric to determine what is tragic and traumatic and what isn't. Everyone has their own specific weaknesses based on what they've been through. There's no way for you (or anyone) to decide what someone else should be crying over and what they shouldn't. Trauma is subjective, that's literally the first thing they teach you at uni when you major in psychology. So yeah, let men experience the full scope of emotions if you really care about them.

It’s horrible to think about how many times external stereotypes have stopped a man from getting the help he needs. Both counselling and therapy have largely helped me in the past (I’m a girl btw), and I wish those kinds of support systems were more widely encouraged to a male audience. The amount of men I know that I could list right now who have spoken to professionals about their mental health is slim to none unfortunately, but luckily after a lot of protesting, some of them are starting to talk more openly about their mental health to me and my friends, not the best outcome yet, but it’s definitely a massive step. Hoping for a world where a person of any gender can openly discuss their emotions without the stigma of being seen as ‘weak’. Glad to hear you’ve been talking to people about your emotions, wish more people were able to do the same. Wishing you all the best.

i’d much rather have my mates cry on me, than lose them. one of the main reasons i also dislike andrew tate (i know he’s done much worse.) is because they both push the idea onto young men that to be a “real man” means you have to be rich, smoke, drive fancy cars, and never give yourself a break. that showing any form of emotion makes them “less of a man” when in reality, “being a man” means nothing. the strength it takes to be vulnerable with someone, and be comfortable with yourself sounds pretty manly to me anyways. it’s pure insecurity in ones masculinity to think crying, or being feminine makes you any less of a man.

You are SO loved! There are people out there who care about you so deeply and even if you can't access professional help - reach out to your loved ones to tell them how you feel. They'd never see you as weak - they'd just be happy you spoke because the prospect of going to your funeral would be too painful to bear. I as a woman and a feminists I completely agree with George on guys allowing themselves to show emotions. We often see feminism as fighting for women's rights and that is important, but feminism is the term for equal rights and that also means both genders should have the right to express their emotions in society's veiw without being frowned apon. And on guys being allowed to be sensitive about their emotions and mental health is just as important as everything else we fight for in the community, we have a long way to go and we need to teach younger boys that it's okay to have and show emotions. Especially with guys like Andrew Tate having thousands of young teenage boys looking up to him and believing what he is saying is right is just going to make it more difficult. Removing the stigma from mental health can save so many lives in the long run. Sorry for the rant but I just had to get this of my chest. ❤❤ And I hope everyone understood what I meant. Sad to announce that men and women aren’t the same. In order for a woman to be attracted to a man she wants someone better than her, that can take care of her (in most cases). A relationship requires a dominant and submissive energy for the polarisation. A dominant energy needs a submissive one and so forth. Most men want to be that dominant energy and most women want to be the submisssive one. And since most women want someone better than them, aka a leader/dominant energy they also want someone who is mentally strong. We men should take care of emotions on our own through journalling and mediation not by crying in front of everyone. Yeah you might get sympathy from the women but they won’t be attracted to you in most cases. Stay strong kings 👑

We respect you so much for being serious in calling him out, George. He just promotes gender essentialism and proves how gender stereotypes and our ideas about sex affect men to the point where they promote the idea that they should carry all burdens. Humans are multidimensional and always display every trait under the sun, including vulnerability as well as strength. It's great to see the commentary community move a bit forward than where it was a few years ago where the main figures in the scene weren't great role models for youth. A lot of young people look up to you and I'm happy you're willing to talk about your thoughts for them to hear.

My dad is a PTSD survivor. He gets upset, angry and anxious in front of me. I've respected him so much more for that. He's also one of the toughest men I know, while being soft and funny all at once.
