My name is Esme and this is me so I guess my channel is 'This Esme'.I make videos about all things horsey such as Vlogs with the ponies, horse care videos and edits of me riding to help other equestrians learn more about these beautiful animals as you never stop learning with horses. :)

Having to call the vet for such an injury is scary. It looks a lot worse than it is most of the time. I have a colic horse myself and yes it sucks to call the vet sunday nigth but you do what you have to do 😳

Injury’s are always such a fright , as long as he’s getting better and wasn’t seriously hurt it’ll be fine soon . Just remember it wasn’t your fault and don’t blame your self esme x ❤️

It’s always a little scary when vet comes to visit, course you are so scared that they Will say that something is wrong with your horse. But you did it so well Esme! Hope your horses are doing fine;)) Love your videos so so MUCH!!

My guinea pig was scratched by a cat while she was out on a Sunday. We had to call the emergency vet and I was horrified. She just about survived and is happy and healthy now. Thank you for sharing that Esme. It really helped me feel less alone with the emergency vet.

Hello esme, I live your channel and I really hope joey gets better, where I live there isn’t much storms only heavy rain and I can’t imagine how scary it must of been, you did handle it well and you are the most amazing horse owner ever! The horses are so lucky to have you 💕🐴

Oh my goodness, my heart was pounding the entire time! Poor Joey, I really hope he is ok as he is such a sweetheart and just a character and I couldn't imagine your channel without him XX You never know what to expect when the vet comes out, it's a really daunting time for anyone.

I truly love your videos from the standpoint of a general horse person, but also as someone who used to teach lessons and train. I always sent my students your way because of your horsemanship and how educational your videos are without being overwhelming.

Wow! What a busy day for your equine Dentist has when she come to visit you Esme - 6 sets of teeth to look at - in just one yard! Well done with administering First aid to Joey's noggin' - it was very close to his eye, so no wonder it bled lots! With your parents being away - up with your brother (which Uni is he at and what is he studying?) - you didn't have time to panic. But, well done for coping and having to phone on a Sunday evening - it's their job and it's what they get paid for. (Top tip - if you don't want to work weekends don't become a vet/medic - it's a 24/7 job!)

I had a similar thing with my mare 5 weeks ago. She got kicked and fell over, ended up fracturing a bone in her shoulder. I thought they would have to put her to rest but thankfully she is still here today. I did almost faint and was crying everywhere, so I hope you coped well
