The Emperor came to the dear Queens funeral ( they never attend funerals outside of Japan because of their religious faith) because he said ‘ she was always very kind to him ‘while he was studying over here. She would also invite him to have afternoon tea. 🙏

@@himbisaquatics What people like that don't seem to realize is that, even if the UK had an elected head of state, there probably wouldn't be much difference in the taxes paid. The elected head of state would still have an official residence, need security (along with his/her spouse and minor children), go on tours, etc..., just like the current head of state.
