He never set out to be an actor, but 61 years ago Bill Roache accepted a role that would change his life - Ken Barlow on the iconic soap Coronation Street. Now, he is not only the Guinness World Record holder for the ‘Longest-Serving TV Soap Actor in the World’ but he was recently awarded with an OBE for his services to drama and charity in the Queen’s New Years Honours List 2022. Bill joins us live from his home to reveal what’s next for Ken Barlow, why he won’t be celebrating his 90th birthday this year, and how his mindset keeps him feeling young.
