I'm studying Arbeau's book "Orchesography" and videos like this, with performances of the dances once described there in the book are being of great help.

Could someone translate the dance names into English, please?

"Branle" is the name of the dance, and the different parts of this video are different kinds of branle. The English pronounced it "Brawl," but I think they spelled it the French way, "Branle," most of the time. It was a country dance, and there were a lot of funny regional names, like "branle of Poitou," "of washerwomen," "of horses," "of peas" (the vegetable) etc. etc. The Russian info above probably translates some of these regional names.

The Russian is mostly names of performers. The dances are branles from Arbeau's “Orchésographie” of 1589. The first dance is a double branle - two steps left then two shorter steps right. The kicking feet is optional. The second branle is a single branle - two steps left then one step right and optional foot kicking. The third might be a Gay Branle. I'm not so sure about that one.
