From my experience He really is a great person. My uncle had cancer a few years back and wanted to meet the band but due to late notice they couldn’t get everyone there. Thom called him and was very apologetic about it. My uncle ended up getting to take pictures and meet Ed and Phil and got to see them perform at Coachella that day.

From what I've heard, it's because during Ok Computer their tour they've been going to places they've never been to before but haven't thoroughly enjoyed. After all, they have to go to another site. I forgot which good man gave him a mantra that inspired him to write the song that became his favorite, but I remember he's also an artist of another band.

One thing i massively respect is how its a team. The guys all stick together and support each other. No yelling or storming or arguing, just "Thom is pissed...for good reason...lets see how this plays out". Gotta admire the teamwork and unity. Also, Thom's accent is super rad! I had no idea he sounded like a Guy Ritchey character! Loving it.

It is insanely disrespectful and selfish to go to a concert and ignore the person on stage and talk and ruin the experience for everyone else at the show who paid good money to see an artist perform. If you want to talk stay home or go to a bar. Talking quietly to a friend or small little banter is fine, but if the damn musician can hear you on stage thats rediculous shut the fuck up. I commend Thom for speaking up and doing something about this.

Catering to a live audience as a musician is hard. The reality is, you're up there on stage because you're an entertainer, and the audience you've acquired come from all different walks of that journey. Nowadays, the "single" scene has changed quite a bit in lieu of stuff like KZfaq and Spotify, and they package their promotional stuff differently. In some ways, that can benefit a band trying to get a crowd a bit more if it's done right. Back a decade and all the rest of the decades prior, it was a very different scene. In the 90s as Radiohead was coming up, they had more hooks and more specifically radio friendly songs than they had post-Kid A era. Things changed, but the fans they originally grabbed didn't really change and they probably ended up losing a lot of them on the way out of the 90s. Same thing happened for a bit with Rush after Moving Pictures when they made a big shift away from that strictly accessible sound during Subdivisions.

@@catalina5711 I think what had initially happened was there were speakers underneath the stage, probably subwoofers, the vibration of which caused a laptop (or some other type of equipment) to fall off one of their tables as they were performing, which halted the show. Thom chastised the organizers of the event for the incident, then took the opportunity to thank the guy, who earlier in the show had been shaking a tambourine, for seizing shaking the tambourine, and then awkwardly filled the dead air as they tried to fix their setup in the background.

It's an extremely difficult song to play, as it's so fast and frantic. So naturally mistakes do happen live. Furthermore, it's one of Thom's favourite songs, so fucking it up really frustrates him. It's also pretty bad that Jonny is the guy responsible for handling the most difficult part of the entire song, the actual synths themselves
