Our PP was horrible the last 20-25 games of the year. Thats an easy 10-12 points that 6/9/40/43 could've had! The next step is having a LETHAL PP that scores at a crazy clip.

I'm actually surprised more teams don't try to replicate the Oilers' PP. The Canucks players like Petey and Miller, like most teams, would set up for their one timers high in the face off circles for the better shooting angle but the defensemen would be able to block the shots almost every time. The Oilers had Hyman and Draisaitl set up deep in the zone and right along the goal line. The shooting angle was much tougher but if they hit the net, they didn't have to worry about blocked shots, and half the time the puck would go in off the goalie. You need a lot of skill to hit that narrow of a shooting angle but the Canucks do have that skill.

Replace Zadorov with Dillon for a lot less maybe 2.5 million per then you can take a swing at Guentzel or Reinhart.

Really believe zadorov is super important and the playoffs showed that very well but at 5 million+ it's hard to do especially because a bonafide top 6 guy like guentzel/reinhart is needed, a trade seems like the best route to address those needs considering the cap crunch

Unfortunately I don’t think we can get Guentzel or Rein

One of the best things the Canucks could start the seasons with is a couple million or so in cap space to take advantage of some deals on players or waivers claim they want that other cap strapped teams can't do because they're up against it. I'd love to see them bring back Zadorov and then get Toffoli, but you can't go crazy with overpaying UFAs, because that's how this team got into the trouble with Benning. If not Zadorov then another big guy they might want is Edmundson and there's a chance they can bring back Tanev. Silovs had an impressive baptism by fire, but they're probably going to have him spend next season in the AHL to get more games.

i laugh now thinking about sportsnet declaring that NJD got 'the best hughes' brother. ruthervin have a plan B, C, D, and E in place for each of the moves they want to make.

Vancouver has the 3rd best Hughes brother IMO. Despite the sports media journalists who've never played pro hockey, fawning over Quinn for his high assist totals and flashy skating. Although Quinn and Josi received the most votes, I would take Makar or Fox or Bouchard on our backend any day over Quinn.

Keeping Myers over zadorov is fucked

Classic Canucks MISmanagement.
@Brandyn882 күн бұрын
What about how it pertains to price tag and what you’ll have left over to spend on other players?

We’re keeping Myers for relatively nothing, I love Z but if he’s asking for 6 that’s really tough when we are on a cap crunch
@danx1216Күн бұрын
Myers is a unnecessary overpayment -- his value is 2.1 x2 his war /60 is =1.9 (180th) Terrible deal! A true cup contender does NOT have myers as a 4D! He is a 6 at best!

Myers deal is a trainwreck.
@Ryan-ve7le2 күн бұрын
Disagree, we got him for relatively nothing

Drance wrong again... Myers would not get a "WHOLE LOT MORE" typical inaccurate Van media as always!
