What is wrong with kids media now a days. Examples like The Trolls movies, Boss Baby, Teen Titans Go, Peppa Pig, Dora The Explore etc. Those shows for kids felt like the people behind those shows are playing down and dumb down their target audience. Now Thomas is now become a dumb down kids show, thanks Mattel. 😡

Thoroughly agree! Whoever the CEO is of the Thomas and Friends franchise has completely forgotten why Thomas was written to start with. All they care about is the how and what it does to bring them money. So sad...😒

Mattel knows perfectly well what made Thomas awesome and are purposely doing the exact opposite of that, while also knowing that the reason the Brenner era flopped was cause Mattel couldn't be asked to promote it properly, air it properly, and the fact that they tried to make Thomas woke did way more damage to the brand.

The biggest red flag that came from the new reboot trailer was the line "Thomas is the hero of EVERY episode." Since when has Thomas NOT been the focus of an episode during the HIT and Mattel era?!

I grew up with S6-7 because I wasn’t born when S1-5 came out. I respect your opinion for saying they’re not Classic. But that doesn’t mean it was fact that they’re not.

Oh how I miss the wooden Thomas sets. Even at the mall we go to used to have a Thomas store with a giant Thomas in the front. And seeing that cartoon bastardized this series, it was physically painful

I thought since Series 20 was a fantastic season I thought the show was in really good hands, I’m a huge fan of Thomas and Friends I grew up watching the hit era and I loved the classic series especially Series 9-24. This is sad 😢 to see Thomas like this .

I loved Thomas and Friends since I was a child. Seeing Mattel do this to the little tank engine and all his friends is a nothing more than a complete disgrace to Awdry’s legacy and I am appalled that this is the newest generation for the franchise.

@@TwinHat Same. To be honest, the only seasons Thomas and Friends that I enjoy watching the most is Seasons 1 to 11 (Model Era) and Seasons 17 to 21 (Brenner Era). That was it.

The Railway Series, Original Series and Brenner Era mean't groundbreaking stories, simple, but poignant writing and individual memorable characters with world building development. We are definitely reaching Baby Shark, Pony Life and Magic School Bus reboot toddler drivel levels of not catering to children.

I'm 17 and although they never aired when I was young I still loved the OG Thomas and friends. I agree with you 100% this is a disgrace!

I was born in 2002, and I remember watching the original series from seasons 1-7. While also the hit era season 8-11, but it’s not that bad of an era; and I still love trains because of Thomas.

Cranky Bugs is probably the earliest episode I watched. When I think of Thomas back when I was a really young kid, I always think about the Cranky Bugs and Other Thomas Stories DVD.

I remember having a VHS of thomas comes to breakfast that was given to me by my older sister, and I still have a few old hit era dvds in my garage, comparing even those to this new filth that’s being beaten out of the dead horse that is thomas and friends is like comparing a child’s scribble to the mona lisa

I think this is a very unpopular opinion, but I grew up with the older Thomas, I'm in my middle teens and I personally think that THIS is the best Thomas in my opinion, obviously I respect how you feel about it and you actually brought up great points on the reboot and why it's bad. Honestly though, even if Thomas' name wasn't slapped on it, I probably would've watched only a few episodes and not got as obsessed with it as I am at the moment.

I Love the Model Series and Nitrogen Era Thomas. I would keep watching New Thomas Episodes until the Era after 2015 or 2017. That’s when I got Upset with what they did with Thomas.

It's just turned into the adventures of chuck and friends, or meteor and the mighty monster trucks. It has that vibe but none of the charm and sensibility that should go with it. But I'm probably extremely biased in that judgement because I was one of the weirdo's that liked those aforementioned shows, nostalgic for meteor

Actually, there are a couple people on Facebook who like Thai new version and find the old old creepy with weird teachings. There are also multiple people who think the new Thomas is cute. I'm beginning to think at least some of them might just be making up an excuse to be on Mattel's side and not introduce their little kids to the old shows because they're, well...old. I'm sure at least some of them are.

Back in the day from 1945 to 2007 it's been great. Also CGI but in October it's much different then it was in like 2015 when I was 2, in 2015 I really enjoyed Thomas the tank engine but now it's straight up crap.

I’d agree it didn’t have any story arcs and were very sporadically placed episodically but compared to anything that followed in comparison it was like series 1-5 ha

Season 5 didn’t have many story arcs like Seasons 1-4. Season 5 is insanely overrated by its fans despite being another good season. Magic Railroad put a stain on the franchise and the show, but it didn’t immediately kill them. It just gradually turned Thomas into a baby show from Seasons 8-12 until HiT, but it’s still the same world. That is until the Miller era almost killed the show. And after the Brenner era, BWBA ultimately killed the show. Followed by AEG.
