When all of this was unfolding, something definitely felt 'off' about Mr Markle. In fact, the entire Markle family left me feeling uncomfortable.

The saddest thing is the recent interview with Thomas Markle begging his daughter to speak with him. The poor man had a stroke, and yet she still freezes him out. Cruel!!😢

This episode broke my heart. Although Thomas responded badly to Meghan's rejection, and betrayal I think he was emotionally desperate. He had to be confused, and unwilling to accept the fact that Meghan just didn't care about him. As a parent, I can't think of anything that could be anymore heartbreaking than that.😢

I completely agree that Thomas Markle comes off like a deranged jerk at this point. But we know he wasn't always like this; it's Meghan who's driven him insane by her behaviour. In retrospect, the paralysis from the Royal Family (especially Charles and the Queen) came from allowing Meghan to set the terms for engaging with the rest of her family. It seemed natural: these were her people, she knew them best, the Queen and Charles trusted that she was operating in good faith. But she wasn't, and that didn't become clear until long after, when the books began coming out from people who'd researched her background. The Palace should have taken control at a very early stage, and appointed someone as a liaison officer to Thomas and Samantha, who'd have actually gone to America to work with these people. Meghan must have felt quite safe because she assumed (correctly) that her inlaws would never budge off their little island across the sea, so she could act as the chokepoint for all information coming in. By the time they realized she was a liar, the damage was done.

Thomas Markle is a narcissist who raised a narcissist. Doria is too. Narcissism is a combination of genetics and environment, both parents gave her the genes but Thomas provided the environment.

Sad. It's what narcs do to their victims. Destroy them emotionally, psychologically and mentally.

When the karma bus catches her, boom. If her dad was slim, attractive and without loose screws, she'd have had him at the wedding. I'm surprised she didn't ask Oprah or George Clooney to walk her down the aisle.

The Markles were are perfectly normal, middle-class American family.. they just didn’t fit in with Meghan’s agenda.. the poor little Black girl, raised by her hard-working single mother ( who apparently had no family either).. the Markles would have quite simply thrown Meghan, Doria, Oprah and Gayle King’s agenda sky high. A privileged young woman who attended the best schools and who had been doted on, ( who had also been married for 7 years) just wouldn’t work for the plan that they had. What Meghan did to her own Caucasian family has been vile. Also, a shy, retiring man like Thomas Markle would have *never* have called the paps on himself, he would not have known how, nor would he have agreed to be photographed without Meghan’s blessing. She set him up so that she could tear him down, and then play the victim card. Maybe Meghan failed to understand the optics of having only one member of her family present at her wedding. But Thomas Markle is no monster, he has had his name and reputation blackened for no reason. My heart just goes out to the guy.

Thomas Markle has a physical condition that will cause his blood pressure and heart rate to rise. Clots and plaque roam around his body until they stop, causing less blood to flow to the brain or heart. Tension, anger, and any kind of stress could kill him. The stress of the wedding and the unbelievable global horror of what she said about him caused the heart condition and the stroke, in my opinion. People who have clots and plaques causing small strokes will often behave differently than others

What a shower 🤦‍♀️ I googled our late Queen’s expression at the “spectacle for the world” of a wedding (£30m UK taxpayers’ hard earned money) just to check that I was correct in what I remembered. It must have been a nightmare for the RF once they twigged what call me ‘Arry had picked up and dragged home. It’ll all come out in the wash, we just need the patience to wait and watch. I’m glad you spoke honestly on Thomas Markle. He’s made some very poor choices, I don’t trust him. He’s definitely mislead the public with certain stories and it leads me to question everything he says. A lot of his negative stories about Meghan are he said-she said and they’re both proven liars! Who do you trust? Also, Thomas Jr….. he made a statement back before Meghan was pregnant. Something like, “don’t trust Meghan around children or animals”. That got circulated quickly and a lot of places reported on it. Later down the line, I believe when he was still hoping for an invite, he claimed he had no actual reason to say that, he was just feeling hurt and defensive of his father. That’s a pretty BIG LIE to spread about the “lil’ sister he loves”, no? Thomas Senior needs to appreciate the two kids who are showing their love for everyday. Thomas Jr. lives with and takes care of him, 24/7. But all Thomas Senior talks about is Meghan, Harry, the palace, the royal family. He’s missing what’s under his nose. Sad.

From where I’m sitting his daughter is a horrible human. I have no doubt he did his best but she is a person I would never claim to have raised. His ex wife sounds pretty nasty too.

There is a view on some of these channels ( in the comments mostly) that if you are anti meghan then you must be pro thomas and samantha. I have felt the wrath when suggesting they are all a bit grifty.😂

i dont know what to feel about this. her cutting him dead for a few pap photographs seems harsh in the extreme. the family seemed a bit mad at the beginning but - she was marrying into royalty they could have been so keen to grab a bit of the royal glitter dust, have holidays in balmoral, having tea with the queen at the palace when they pop over to london. this was never ever likely to happen yet they did include doria and she was invited for christmas. it must have hurt a lot to be thought not good enough and therefore dumped by meghan. a decent person could have paid him a small amount to be comfortable in his retirement (spending thousands on one dress) that would not have hurt but she cut him dead. so much for his self esteem, that must have been so very very hard. why did they have their programme about the family and meghan right before the coronation, why? not nice for the royals served no purpose in reconciling, he was a very good dad so i dont think he was a bad person, she is not going to reconcile so i dont know why he still does interviews, now many people realise how nasty they are so extra publicity for thomas serves no purpose. i dont think they have told all the truth about meghans history, at this point probably better to stay quiet.

Megs git a the time to pach up w/ her father but she didn't. It hurts so much to a father being ignored . I believe KARMA will go after and ifit will not happen Megs children will be. And it is not the father who will appease the arrogant daughter .

Thomas Markle hadn’t done anything but pay out and support Meghan. Then he’s watching her wedding from afar, on tv, when he wanted to be the proud father of the bride. Like any proud father would be. Especially when your daughter is marrying a prince. He is an angry man.

Oh you know, I can’t help but feel so sorry for Thomas. Yes he’s made somewhat of a fool of himself here and there, but the bottom line is he’s given that horrible girl literally EVERYTHING that’s enabled her to go, be and do everything she has and is. He’s given her everything. Yes, he went way too far, but I just can’t find it in myself to think badly of him for overcompensating for Doria’s total abandonment of her daughter!! He’s old and set in his ways, and to find out about THAT level of backstabbing and betrayal at the end of his life? How would one even deal with that. She screwed him over on every single level possible, and the worst thing is I’m almost positive that a couple of nice phone calls from Megan to him and the WHOLE mess would have been avoided…but she can’t even bring herself to do that much!! And she KNOWS that too, which makes it all so much the worse. Of course he’s going to switch from being the loving father to a bitter hurt betrayed man. She’s ruined his life, for real!!
